I like the regen, claok ,silence but its only useful with 3 hives, which means you already won, or need to go serious...(fade or onos preferably)
Me? Cloak, adrenaline and regen with all aliens
Def : Regen, Cara for skulk usually.
Move : Silence. ALWAYS Silence.
Sens : Cloak, SoF if we have sens first by mid game (because by then there should be chambers EVERYWHERE)
Anyone else sick of us gravitating back to D-M-S?
There was once when I purchased Carapace for my Fade and my Fade got 125 armor, it was lvl 3 Carapace. I then got injured and returned to hive to be healed. Problem is that when I was fully healed, I only had 100 Armor and could no longer purchase any more defensive upgrades......
But then again I also use that hehe.
But then again....regen/silence Fade = silent bunnyhopping sharpsticks of dewm!
EDIT : Ah yes....another lethal combo....that I regularly use....silence/regen Lerk
regen-silence-sof
Good allrounder. The blink sound is usually the first warning that a Fade is incoming, and it makes it hard to ambush marines from behind unnoticed. Silence solves that. Regen means that you can replenish your health AND stamina simultaneously. SoF is just an added bonus. This one's good at taking down RTs too.
The reason we are going back to D-M-S isnt for the same reasons in 1.0 but still for the same reason, if u understand what i mean

That would have been because your DCs had been destroyed...
Reason is: IF you survive to get close to a marine(s) you are likely to kill him(them). The trick is to get close. If you have carapace you will most likely survive alot longer, while regen will not help you in the actual combat. Regen is good if you can kill a marine and survive, which is alot more difficult without carapace...
Lategame, when marines have lvl 3 wpns you would NEED carapace to do anything at all...
(This is assuming you dont have mcs or scs, in which case cloaking and celerity/silence would help you close distance)

Learn the art of bhop my friend there arent many who can shot you constantly when u do
However, the Marine can spray bullets in 5 million different directions, and some stray bullets are bound to hit you. It adds up with each Marine killed unless you get them from behind.
This tactic has been a early breakdown for some marine teams because despite several tries, most of the time they get gassed. It has also been a early game onos strat for me as well.
Lerks with regen sent of fear and adrenaline seem to be the best snipers and the most anoying units to tango with, if you make shure you dont get naded/bullet spamed.
On a final note, ive come to realise that alot of times, its not really the skill that ends up giving me the edge, its how i play with my seroundings. I dont care who you are, a marine almost never checks the blind spot prime for skulk ambush, and to utilise these is how you despose of your enimies quick and efficiently. But as you said, its all about preference.
Cool post.
500 health, 250 armor, 60% armor absorption. Able to sustain 500+(250*2) = 1000 damage before dying.
An uncarapaced Onos has 500 health, 150 armor, and 30% armor absorption. It is able to sustain 500/.7 = 715 damage before dying.

Or rather, if people shoot at the hull instead of the hitboxes or model.
