Weird Error Moving From 56k To Comcast

Net_SendPacketERROR:WSAEINTR ???
Hi all-

Just switching from AoHell to Comcast, NS works fine and just the same still on 56K.... but, when trying NS through Comcast, I get the following:

I get Comcast, CD, HL, and NS up, find some servers (with 8 green dots rather than two or three yellow now, thanks....), and click on one: I get the Console screen and some server run-up, then a little Half-Life error box shows up: it says Net_SendPacketERROR:WSAEINTR. I can only click OK, and when I do HL is kicked right off and exited.

What kind of error is this probably, and what should/can I do to fix it? Last night was the first time I tried NS on Comcast, it worked GREAT for about 45 minutes, I got this error for the first time, and now it happens before I even get into any game. ComCast is stumped, and they don't do "Game Support" anyway... but, uh, this doesn't sound like a Game error, seeing as how it still works fine on AOL...

Help!

First off: WS_AEINTR is a WinSock error, which can normally be fixed by tweaking your cl_rate, rate, cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate values.
But i'm a bit confused... are you moving from 56k to ADSL? Because WS_AEINTR normally appears on slower connections.
I'd recommend the following values for 56k tho:
    cl_rate 3400
    rate 3400
    cl_cmdrate 17
    cl_updaterate 17

    Hope this helps

Ended up "fixing" this by calling Comcast.. they had me uninstall two programs- one was called Service Agent, the other has a weird name. Turns out Comcast isn't supposed to launch from a desktop Icon; you just open Internet Exploder and Comcast is your default ISP right outta there. The only Icon you should have on your desktop for ComCast (if any) is ComCast Support. Anyway, try this; not sure it has ANYthing to do with the error I was having, but doing this fixed it for me. Didn't have to mess with framerates, updaterates or anything. Guess I was lucky...

Of course, then I started getting an Retry error (could see servers out there thru WON, but couldn't connect to any), but fixed that by pointing the (Norton)Firewall to "Monitor" ports 27015 and 27016; goof around in settings and options until you find the (short) list of ports the system is watching, and add these two. Cleared it right up.
