Getting Meta To Stack With Regen

<div class="IPBDescription">THIS version</div> We all know meta resets the timer for regen... so if you love regen, but are real low on health and need it asap... the way to do it is let regen tick... then meta RIGHT after it, sure it resets the timer, but you would have had to wait that time anyways for the next regen... right?

    i assume you mean metabolise resets the timer for regeneration?

    when you use metabolise and have regeneration, continuously using it completely negates regen. as you said, using it once RIGHT after every regen tick is the only way to stack them. if you use it any other time, the regen tick simply won't heal you; however, it won't change the "timer" or "ticker".

    so, like you pointed out, using metabolise right after a regen tick effectively doubles the rate of a lvl3 regeneration

    Frankly, I found this out about a day or so after 2.0 was out, and I have posted it in several fade guides. Its really not a very hard thing to do.

    All one has to do is wait for a regen tick, count TWO seconds and hit meta right at two seconds. If done right it will pretty much stack with regen, losing no time at all, and healing 42.5 health per regen tick. The best part is that its slow enough that you can still gain energy back at the same time without needing adren. For those who say that meta makes regen useless, there is something to be said about regening at (about) the same rate as an oni.

    I wonder if they'll ever make regain and meta stack without this trick.

    Regen adds about 40 per tick. Meta adds about 20 per use.

    Regen alone:
    40...40...40...40

    Meta spammed with Regen:
    20...20...20...20

    Meta used right after each Regen tick:
    60...60...60...60

    The numbers are probably wrong, but you get the idea hopefully.

    Meta goes off faster than regen, so meta alone might work as fast as regen (if 3 meta ticks occur in the time of 1 regen tick + 1 meta use, with your numbers). However, this uses a lot more adrenaline. Meta alone will run you out of adrenaline quickly, while stacking meta and regen is a very slow energy drain.

    I think Regen goes off of a percentage of your CURRENT HP... not a constant...

    if not plz proove me wrong, it would be nice to know.

    Level 3 regeneration heals 9% of your max HP per tick. It's 23 per tick for Fades.

    in that case I'm pretty sure meta vanilla is faster. No need to pay attention to the tick. Quite a hassle; quite easy too, but I like to be more ready if a marine jumps me, even if only a little bit. Besides it seems meta alone is better anyway.

    It isn't hard to do, I'm sure many people who knew the fades' new abilities tried to stack meta with regen. it's very easy to figure out; it's just slow.
