I think I about lost it when I realized I was watching fades blink right up next to jet packers in mid air, swipe them, and then blink back around the room while healing and repeat. And watching sYn jet packers being able to hit Fades in mid blink while going their own terminal velocity. Wow. Good game for both.

GG syn. Just to correct the other guy's summary, we actually had reactor room, west access, and waste node in addition to our main. They had fusion hive. We havent had the chance to play vs aggressive fades like syn's and we neglected the marine main and they rushed our undefended main and won with a very strong rush. On our alien, we got waste handling, they held reactor for a while till we got fades, and we fought for a while in reactor. They were smart and stacked mines at the entrances so we were forced to wait for bile bomb before we could attack the main. Great game, we'll be sure to do a better job defending our main next time we face syn.

P.S. Funniest point of the game is when greeneggsandham bilebombed those mines and killed two of ham's lerks along with it. ouch!

It's not the game's fault pubbers can't use blink properly.
I think part of the reason is that the weapon switch times are kinda messed up... And weapon switching only works some of the time... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
If you don't believe me, try switching your weapons quickly as aliens... the animations don't play well at all..
If you switch from leap to bite, then back to leap, and fire, if you do it fast enough you won't leap...
If the weapon switch bug was fixed, aliens would be a whole lot better.
I think thats the built in anti-scripting feature. I cant count the number of times I've died as fade because I switched to blink to fast and just sat there clicking my mouse with nothing happening. Frustrating when you know you did the right thing and the game is at fault.
Just on the fade note, I hope you're all fully aware that there are other alien classes. All of which are easier to use.
Thats where the unskilled players can while away the hours until they master blink - which they will, given time and motivation.
As I see it, the fade is the choice of the professional. Going Onos is boring, skulk lacking in flexibility, and gorge/lerk very much support classes. Fade, its an attack class, its pretty tricky, but the results are exceptional.
It does NOT need to be "balanced" for the new players, because IMHO its what you GRADUATE to. Consider AvP2, where most new players can't cope with the speargun sniper Predator class. They start off as a standard pred, and then work their way to other classes.
No different in NS. You can't use fade? Fine - use lerk, or skulk, or even onos until you have mastered the fine art of blinking. Can't master blink? Spend more time at it. Don't want to spend time mastering the game? Find an easier point and click one.
