Excellent display of progress! I haven't checked out any of the playtest shots in a while and it's obvious that everything is coming together.
One thing to note - I noticed a minor typo in the HUD description of the Armory. The line "It can also be upgrade to an advanced armory" of course should read "It can also be upgraded to an advanced armory". A minor typo but I thought I'd point it out.
I believe that they pretty much just decided it looks cool, plus it may add some minor balance. If I recall they did it for the sake of atmosphere and not for the sake of realism. But hey I'm not a playtester so what do I know?
Is that Flier resting against the wall in this pic?

Why is it a bit above the ground? And why in the second "here" half of the lvl 5 is in the wall? Also again in the second pic, is that a jet pack on the bak of the Marine's back. If it is, I was wondering if you guys realesed a skinned full pic of it.

Re: level5 - his animations aren't done yet; therefore, he occasionally looks quite odd. He's also not quite the same size as his clipping hull, which means sometimes he clips walls.
Re: jetpack - yes, that's the jetpack model. No, they didn't release a solo pic of it. Yes, it's sweet.
I think it would be cool if the level3 could hang onto walls or maybe even climb them, albeit at a slow rate, Perhaps thats something for version 2 it would only require a tiny bit of remodeling by adding a claw to the end of the part of the wing he walks on and the climbing would seem perfectly natural, punch the claw into the wall and swing the other up and punch it in, rinse and repeat, it would be a way for level3's to get the drop on the marines and also save some flying energy. Or give them a place to rest.
The webpage is the forums. It's really not all that organized, but all the information IS in here. There are no specifics (that I have found) on www.readyroom.org or the NS main page.
The thing you have to do is search the forums, and read the faqs. If that doesn't answer your question, then ask in the forums.

I've been wanting to ask this for a while now. In the 8th pic in this thread, you are looking through the jaws of an alien. Which level is that? I have seen an alien in the avatars that isn't one of the 5 levels. It has no eyes, has teeth like the one I'm asking about, has 4 legs, and has a round, bowl-like head. Is this the alien in the screenshot? Or is the alien I'm asking about a level 3?
