Yes, like several people said, it is a Genestealer. You can see the HL model (it's not very close to the original).... um... somewhere. It comes with Sven Coop, though.

Two things to remember here, nukem...

1) The EDIT button is your friend.

2) Unless they say: "Hey, it's done!" Then yes, there will be more tests.

Actually they did say NS was feature complete...

But not totally complete.
• Sgt_XSgt_X Join Date: 2002-03-01 Member: 261Members
They still need to replace place holder models and they want to tweak the balance until they get it just right. Plus they've got to squash what bugs remain.

Nobody answered the question about the jaws.

It's the Level 1 alien, the one that looks doglike, 4 legs with big claws. It's just for atmosphere, the eyes are above its mouth on the player model.

'ello Goby. =)

The inside the mouth viewmode is easily the best v_ model I've seen in a long time.

You've never seen the Level5 viewmodel. (:

EDIT: Yes, I realize that was a cruel thing to do. No, I'm not sorry.

It's better than Gloom's alien viewmodels... (Read: There were no Alien viewmodels in Gloom.)

A welder? I know, there was in AVP2, and you can probably use it to open grates and seal doors and stuff.... but why did you list it as a weapon? Can you weld aliens? Like, weld a Lev1's teeth shut or something?
• DaxxDaxx Join Date: 2002-04-16 Member: 460Members, Constellation, Reinforced - Shadow
I don't think you could weld his mouth shut, it is fleash after all. But I think it does do damage, but not alot, and you'd die long before the alien did

Longtooth thought of the day:
I was looking at a level1's claws one day and thought, the TSA better supply me with mourphine.

Ummm... in one of those shots there is a lvl5 looking like it is halfway embedded in the wall.

I was discussing it in IRC and Fam (I think) said that bounding boxes have to be square, or something. Is that true? Because seeing an enemy halfway into the wall is uninspiring to say the least D:

I think I said bounding boxes have to be boxes. Im pretty sure I put quite a bit of sarcasm in it too. ^_^

So is that a yes or no on the square physical parameters of the characters in NS?

I noticed it without the red squares. Indeed, that is odd.

That was MonsE, not umbra. Don't worry, he's been sorely reprimanded.

Yeah its Monse having fun with the stamp tool, someone taught him how to use it or something.

He was covering up "useless text". It beats staring at blurred text and wondering, doesn't it?

Monse never was very good at image compression. He always drops it half way through and has to re-assemble JPEGs piece by piece.
