please, for the love of sanity
I formally request that any threads about 2.0 balance, the lack of, the solution to, etc, be locked as soon as they're seen (unless they happen to have new info, which they most likely won't). I posted basically this same post, but in reply to another thread, and I'm making it formal. It's so hard to come back when you have to wade through 2-3 pages of "balance" threads that say nothing more than all the other threads over the past few weeks. It used to be that we could come here and discuss the game, the fun things, the annoying things, the great games we had, etc. Now it's all 100% flame-bait. Let me sum up the arguments:
1) NS is balanced
2) NS is unbalanced
3) Marines have the advantage
4) Kharaa have the advantage
5) Marines need a good comm and good grunts
6) It doesn't matter what the marines have, they'll loose to any semi-organized alien team
7) Nade spam and turret farming is annoying
8) There are ways to avoid and/or decimate nade-spammed turret farms
9) Aliens expand too quickly
10) Natural-Selection isn't what it used to be so I quit
I think I hit most if not all of the major topics, and any of them by themself is not bad, but when there are 3 variations of each of those as new threads every day, it's really getting old. Everyone should know by now that there are beta patches out that HELP equalize things. They're not perfect, but 2.01b is a great start. We all should know that the team is working on the balance, and we all should know that just about every argument about 2.0 balance has been thrown into a thread and debated to death from all sides. I'm respectfully asking you, the forum admins and moderators, to lock such threads. Please. For the love of our sanity.

I'm sick and tired of wading through the same old trash day in day out. C'mon guys! Give me something decent to entertain myself with while I bludge the day away at work.
Cheers.
Gotta side with you punks here. Enough is enough people, we know the whole game is now garbage and that you hate it. That's great. Now go play more land we'll pretend we actually care.
i just bumped my post back to the front page. time to give it 24 more hours worth of attempts at having people actually read something other than balance bitching.

Amen.
On that note, I'm still doing my bit to stem the rising tide of whining idiocy
Well soon as the balance issues are dealt with thats what you will get but for now you get what NS 2.0 is like for marines: aliens get their self-gratification while marines lay on the other side of the bed frustrated.
I seem to have no problem controling my mouse and simply not clicking on topics that I don't want to read about. Not sure exactly what your problem could possibly be... perhaps some sort of new virus that auto clicks topics that you don't want to read?
Regardless of the reason I would recommend that you get either get a new mouse or a virus scanner to fix the problem asap so that you won't be reduced to whining to admins about locking posts that other forum members (might I point out at this time that your opinion that these posts should be locked is of no greater value than that of the people who want to post them) have felt inclined to submit.
Please be sure to inform all of us if you manage to get your clicking problem fixed so that those few other people that seem to suffer from this same problem can remedy their situation as well.
P.S. "You're attitude of "this is what it is and you'll just have to deal with it" is VERY immature, and I'd appreciate it if you would keep it out of this thread. Feel free to post here if you have something constructive to say, but keep it constructive please."
Your above quote I find to be extemely ironic especialy coming from someone who was just attempting to get admins to lock posts that contain other peoples opinions (no mater how trivial they may be) on a public forum. Not only was that attempt immature, but it was also unconstructive both traits that you manage to ignore in yourself but accuse this other gentleman of. Very amusing.
As much as the 'whiners' **** me off, they're are some merrit in the argument that they care a lot and want to see any percieved issues they may have fixed.
You may now lock

i dont like the redemption devour thing but hey its in the game get over it they ever cool devs of ns put it in there for a reason everyone has to bicker about some crap about games...
so by locking or deleting all the topics fo shezzy said will prolly be a really good thing...
i also like to say i like marines cuz of the good teamwork involved.... so nothing needs nerfing in my eyes i like 2.0 as is and maybe 2.1a would satisfy me
"Oh yeah, those aliens are REAL overpowered ah ha ha ha."
Can we all just pretend we went back in time to when DXO posted this, so we can all just get along? We and I will do what we think is best, and all that we ask in return is that when you're about to make a new post or thread, try to do the same. And as much as I'd like not to, this thread is getting*locked* so as not to get bumped up again for mindless, one-line "but it is/isn't unbalanced!" posts.
