    I <i>do</i> know it is fake. I'm not that dim <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Imagine the damage you could cause if the bottom one actually had a nuclear round...

    ...

    I'll go with bullets made of caesium, if they existed. They react explosively with water. Mind you, maybe not the ideal weapon for me considering that my hands sweat excessively <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Well... put it this way

    INDIVIDUALLY the bombs used in Carpet Bombing London in World War II were fairly tame only causing damage on a relatively minor scale. However when you introduce the Carpet Bombing tactic the effect is increased exponentially and you get a 'weapon' of mass destruction.

    Hypothetically and using the same example. A pistol is a fairly low powered weapon (Once again, it's all relative), but if you give everybody on Earth a hand-gun, line us all up in a row and point it at the head of the person in front of us and have everyone pull the trigger at the same time....

    Ergo all weapons have the possibility of being an WMD, thus the best weapon is easily the weapon that can kill the most amount of people with the least amount of effort. So something explosive will probably be the 'best' weapon.... (Though not necessarily a nuke)

    I hate rambling... excuse me... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'd say the best portable gun would be the OICW because it's so versatile (except in cqb of course)
    If you wanted to get larger-scale I might say an F-22. But that's more like a weapons platform than an actual weapon.

    I think the AK-47 is the best weapon, just because of the conditions it can take, and that just about every country uses them....Well lots of them do <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Now this is no MG-42 but im sure its a good alternative <a href='http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/pages/military/sa_hk21e.html' target='_blank'>clicky</a>

    sir, you lose.

    <a href='http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg25-e.htm' target='_blank'>CETME Ameli</a>

    in reliable roller-delayed blowback operation, as opposed to the dated MG42's short recoil function, the Ameli machinegun is truly my favorite recent MG.

    what part of "same firing system as G3" was unclear about the HK21E? its a 7.62 mm delayed blowback roller-locked operation (as in most H&K weapons) and the weapon you mentioned doesnt have a free floating barrel (at least they dont calim to have one) and if you carefully read the description its esentially a Spanish jock of the German weapon <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    silly guy.

    it's the best because

    1. it's drab/puke green (which is totally a sexy color)
    2. it fires at your 800 PITHY rounds per minute... or a sexyfast 1200 rds/min
    3. the HK MG3 dates back like 40+ years
    4. it has a completely gorgeous transparent box mag.

    edit: basically, i think aesthetics have to do with it too... but yeah it belts out the 5.56s accurately. but the hk21 is fuggles ^_^;;

    but yeah.. i guess you DO have a point with the free-floating barrel. the Ameli's is fixed, but not sniper-calibre accuracy =\

    if you want a really pretty sniper rifle... <a href='http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn13-e.htm' target='_blank'>SR-25 fun!</a>

    shots grouped at 100 meters fit in a 19mm circle <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I still like the wood stocks that accompany many of the russian weapons...and the Groza is just cool. OICW seems a bit bulky to me, although I'm sure it gets the job done with a semi-automatic grenade launcher....heh. My favorite pistol would have to be a tie between a Marakov PMM and a Colt 1911A1. Perhaps their clips are a bit small though.

    Recap:
    Sniper Rifle - Russian Dragunov SVD
    Assualt Rifle - Russian OC-14 Groza
    Pistol - Russian Marakov PMM / American Colt 1911A1 ...although the MP-443 Grach looks nice too.
    SMG - the german MP-5A3 (They're just so nice)...or a Bizon for the 66 round helical magazines.
    Shotgun - goes to the korean USAS-12, nothing beats the semi-auto shotgun! Saiga 12k is okay too.

    If anyone wants sites for weapons:
    www.world.guns.ru (Russian and English text) (pistols - machine guns, no tanks or anything though)
    www.waffenhq.de (German text only) (has more that just firearms)

    Listening to: Circles, by Soul Coughing
    ...now, who's heard of this song?

    BRISBANE, Australia (CNN) -- Imagine a gun that fires a million rounds a minute -- enough to shred a target in a blink of an eye, or throw up a defensive wall against an incoming missile.
