Skulk Bombs

Xenocide is enormous fun, and very damaging.
It's important to use it effectively, and here's a good way to do so:

Upgrade to
Celerity, carapace and sense of fear. You're fast, hard to kill and can see where the highest concentration of victims is.
Alternatively, use redemption instead of carapace. That way if they shoot you as you come into the room you can redeem and have another go at them straight away.

Try to note where the armoury is when you enter the base, as there is often going to be a group of marines around it, and even if there isn't, taking out the armoury is always a good thing.

I'd be careful with Redemption and Xenocide.

I got that combination before, and what would happen to me was, I'd activate Xenocide, get shot by some turrets, get WARPED back to base, then explode harmlessly. :P It sucks.

If you're going to blow yourself up, don't waste the resources on upgrades. At the most, get celerity or adrenaline, jump on the armory, and send the armory humpers to where they belong.

Try this, leap and immeadietly switch to xenocide. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

When I take on a Xenocide only role, I prefer the Cloak, Silence, Carapace upgrades.

You can run in without being detected visually or audibly, trigger Xenocide, and then be able to take on a few bullets without getting killed.

If you Leap before a Xenocide you lose your element of surprise, giving the marines a chance to spread out.

i love armory humpers, you just jump in to their base near the beginning right after they put the armory up and just eat them all in a row, one by one, i usually get at least 2 or 3 before they figure it out. Even more fun with silence in that they cant hear u coming <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Yes, try not to get upgrades when xenociding unless absolutely necessary. That's 6 res out and unless you get really lucky and kill more than 3 marines, you won't get any net profit.

If you've secured 3 hives, you've won the game, period. Most of the time anyway. Xenocide can help against those nade spamming marine lockdowns tho.

Mwahaha turn on xenocide, leap on top of the armory and your guaranteed dead marines <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Unless you're already sending their base to kingdom come,where there isn't any armory <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

BTW,celerity and carapace helps a bit in xeno rushes

Usually when it comes to situations where the marines are down to their main base with almost no money, I'd like to have enough resources to go fade/lerk/onos asap. So that means trying to spend as little res as possible and get as many as possible. -4 for every xeno makes it a little bit longer.

Cloaking + Sense = win. It's great for taking out those little "encampments" that are important enough to have an Armory, but noone thought to put an Obs there. Get a Sensory close enough so you can stand on the Armory, then wait, and KAPOWZA!

Most likely Celerity and Adrenaline for leaping to those armory humpers <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Very nice xeno score there

But there's one question though, how effective is Xenocide against HAs?The only thing I can see that's good is that it blows them away due to the explosive force of....well....yourself <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

BTW,today I managed to pick off a siege outpost outside my sewer hive and got everyone to work as a team to finish it off <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Gotta love those Xeno rushes <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

The best use for Xenocide is to attack in squads with it. Got a HA squad outside a hive? cant wait for an onos to come? get all the skulks you can, and do a full xenocide rush, if about 4 of you manage to explode, you can easily wipe out any HA's in a large area, as a direct xenocide will about 2 thirds kill a HA, if you got 4 people rushing, you should kill most of them there, and severely injure the rest.
