5 juicy compiled shots
I've done alot of work. Before leafthread wasnt working at all, but I fixed that. Then, leafthread was lasting 2 hours, but that was because of a leaf portal saw into leaf error, but I fixed that, and the rest of the freakin map, and cut leafthread time almost in half. 1 hour isnt that bad, and it runs really smoothly ingame. I still need to finish some of the lighting, add in more stuff on the street (garbage cans, garbage on the ground, maybe a hobo here or there) I need a new sky as well. Also, the railings are fullbright so I need to replace them with world brushes. I still have to add in some lighting in the park as well, and change the textures for the trees so they dont look so horrible. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with the lighting scheme. Heres 5 juicy pics

Yep, it is a bit dark. Anyways the trees stick out to much(on color) and the bar rails on the building as well. But I can't wait to see it.

hmmm, those rails and trees look fullbright, are you sure that they are set to solid render mode. Probably your a better mapper than me, and its something else messing up though.

I think I know what your problem is ... it looks to me like the trees and the rails are set to render mode additive and fx amount 255... and the areas don't visible are black... that's wrong you need to do these textures like this...

    - the areas don't visible should be just blue (000 000 255) and make it the last color of the palette, the blue shouldn't fade into the texture though so try to make sharp edges
    - call the texture with a { in front of it...
    - then in the editor set render mode to solid and fx amount to 255
