<div class="IPBDescription">Pheer alucards mini cannon</div> Ok, i first off have to give out most of the credit to Burncycle as this is his model (AND WHAT A GREAT JOB HE DID! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->), ... all i did was delete/tweak some of it to make it more like the one off the cartoon <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I started skin-meshing/skinning it a few days ago and it's coming around nicely i believe! Heres a picture of it in MILKSHAPE 3D:

    Yeah, the lighting for the 3D perspective in Milkshape doesn't show all of it well, the front of the gun looks really Dark, making it look a bit off balance, but it isn't, trust me, hehe, it's all good

It's just a black gun <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> I could've made it all black with nothing else, but i wanted some wear and tear and scratches, etc... i'm still working on parts of it, as the title says "[WiP]"

    cool <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The actual model was done from using a picture as a background, so things may not line up absolutely perfectly or look "bent". That can probably be fixed in a couple of minutes with flattening. The good part is, the proportions should be authentic because of that. I haven't seen the gun recoil, so I just guessed on that part.

    This was a just for fun thing and I didn't think anyone would actually use it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    that skin blows, try and work on it to make it more metallic in appearance, there are a few nice metallics tutorials online if you lack skills in that particular area.

    Are you kidding?! You thought no one was gonna use the all might 13mm Explosive Quilksiver Tipped 33 pounder hand cannon of the almight Alucard?!?! Heh, awesome job on teh model. You seem to have gotten the basics, but a few nit-picks that I'm gonna try and beat Sheena here to. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Your rear-sigh is off, it's suppose to be an adjustable windage-elevation rearsight, not a U-tail one like it looks like yah got right now. The trigger guard is curved outwards the wrong way, suppose to curve inwards like a Beretta. Grip looks a bit deformed but just may be the angles like you said. Either way, seeing as your still working on it keep in mind I am NOT beratting you on these points, just a friendly reminder, but your missing the three screws on the grips. Also, if your still gonna work on the skin there are more words on the left side of the slide. Under "Jesus Chirst is in Heaven Now" is suppose to be "Hellsing Arms Weapon Industrials Colltd." Other than that, gotta sharpen up the detail on the safety and slide catch. I'm gonna try attach a pic here to try help, I've got mines from the same source I do believe Sheena gets all of her Anime firearms from, Posideion.net, and I have all she has but I'm sure she has more saved. Either way, just something to get yah pointing correctly in the right direction for realisim. Also, I'm trying to get a screen cap of the Jackal's slide action, it's really unique. If you can understand what I'm saying here...good, if not, try to wait for the pic. (Hopefully) The Jackal's slide is composed entirely of what would normally be the slide and the lower frame. If you look on the model and pic, there is no lower frame that is seen from the trigger guard up. Thats because the entire slide moves. Therefore when the slide moves back there is no lower frame proturding outwards with a guard-rod, cause the whole freakin thing moved back! So all you see is the barrel. Catch? *crickets chirp* No? Wait for the piccy then. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> It's a realy doozy to explain... Sheena could back me up on this....

    But I love the fact you took this up, I know someone was making the Casuall way before and it disappeared....my friend will SO love you for this....

    Oh and btw, if you do finish this and it somehow bumps meh Seburo off, then I know the perfect replacement sounds.

    *Opens Firearms folder. Takes M-82 Barret sounds. Plunks in for NS handgun.*

    Puuuuuuuurfect........ <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Well whaddya know, found a nice pic of the barrel and front. As you can see, no guide rod, the ENTIRE slide moves back when firing.

    I am soooo sorry for sieging this thread, I promise this is the last pic I hope. This is some detailing on the words I found. The four lines are words inscribed right under the silver chamber on the left side.

    The "13mm Exploding Penetration" is behind the chamber on the left side I THINK.

    And I do believe the serial number and "LL Mand" are underneath the four lines, at the bottom of the slide. Don't hold me to it, I can't make it all out for the 13mm and the serial number, maybe Sheena can clarify. Other than that, thats about it meh thinks, I think we can leave the detail out for the right side. And if your really hardcore...number the rear-sight's elevation adjustments...

    Well, what I ment is that it was a test model without some nessisary details (like any detail on the rear of the gun where the hammer is, etc)

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->You seem to have gotten the basics, but a few nit-picks that I'm gonna try and beat Sheena here to. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Cool, but like I said, this is directly off a picture of the gun in an anime. The trigger guard was like that, so were the sights- your right about the guiding rod though. If people are actually very interested I'll go ahead and tweak the model (I made it a while ago) and then give it back to visual, meanwhile he can get that skin sexeh

    K, I did a quick update to fix most of the glaring bugs (reworked the back and front of the slide, the rear sight, adjusted how the slide moves, etc). I tried to fix the rear sight to the way your pictures are, but due to poly limitations (already a little more than 1,000) I could only get a sight kinda resembling it from the back

    Here are the new screenies:
    <a href='http://www.geocities.com/refleks180/hellsing.html' target='_blank'>http://www.geocities.com/refleks180/hellsing.html</a>

    and here's the new file:

    <a href='http://www.poseidon.co.jp/1F/1f.html' target='_blank'>http://www.poseidon.co.jp/1F/1f.html</a>

    It's a site in Japanese, if you don't mind wading through some of that. If you do mind or just can't read, the links you wanna hit are all of the "Gallery" links on the left side. They have everything from Vash's Long Colt on a converted M-29 Airsoft Revolver (actually fires bb's, but sadly out of print a long time ago) to replicas of Ebony and Ivory and both of Alucards sidearms, the Jackal and Casuall, along with a working Airsoft Jackal based off a M-9 Beretta. Even got the Seburo that's been released here recently, along with many many others. Hit it up if you want to take a peek! And as I said, I believe this is the site Sheena gets most of her anime firearm refrences from too.

    At Burncycle, in no way was I dissing your model or modeling skillz, just a friendly suggestion or two, or three, or five. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> I would like to see the pic you used though if the sights and trigger guard were that messed up...

    And at VisualMirage...sorry if I horribly screwed up your job on skinning...I think you did a great job in the first render, I liked the road you took in scarring it up a little to get away from the bland black. In the anime it's not as bland cause they use a lot of cool angles that show off shine, but in-game I think it would be hard...appreciate your effort alot.

    We learn from our mistakes ^_^;
    Heh, it doesn't matter, it was my first "real" skinning job i've attempted so far, so if it doenst come out good, you know why hehe.

    And burncycle GREAT job you've done on the new gun yo! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I'll manage to re-attach the skin, no problem

    I wanted to see what it was like in HLMV, so i put the NS hands and all on it, and i assigned all the bones properly, but when i went to export the SMD it gave me that "Vertex found with invalid bone assignment" error, and i checked every bone and they were all properly assigned! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You might have missed one somewhere though, remember all it takes is <i>one</i> single unassigned vertex and you'll get this error.

    Try the "Sel unassigned" option under the joints tab, that usually finds them, although Milkshape as you probably know by now is prone to all kinds of wierd errors..:/
