I bind "l" "say_team inc %area !!"

and if Im at "bridge" it should say

<li>PimpD(team): inc bridge !!

but it says

<li>PimpD(team): inc 10area!!

understand? ><

Unless theres some plugin that allows for it, I'm pretty sure there's no %area command in the game to be used like that.

You will need to find a server with the plugin or you will need to download a program such as sparkies (or make your own).

In ahl, the mappers had to name the maps in some file for it to work, or the server admin could make that file and host it.

Well

Ive been playing on bygames.com servers
and when i make a command like "say_team %hp"
it says PimpD(Team): 100hp

So i dunno why %area dont work, cuz a m8 said I should use %area
if i want

Well, if you can wait a month, NS 2.0 will automitcally append you location (probably in brackets) to all your teamsay messages.

On bygames servers you can use %h for health, %a for armour, and <b>%l</b> for location. It's not %area.

Some mods do implement it. I'd prefer this approach, personally, but NS 1.1 is going to include your location with all transmissions, automatically.

PimpD... %area isnt a valid command, you get the 10 because %a IS a valid command, %a will display your current armour.

therefore 10rea!

Your location is %l, health is %h, armour is %a, and res is %r, there are some others but they are VERY RARELY supported, about 33% of servers support %variables so don't rely on the too much, best bet is to buy a microphone.

Aint it possible to load a config ingame?

I could make a diffrent config for all official maps ;p

So when i play ns_bast i load the config called bast.cfg
and when i play ns_caged I load a config called caged.cfg

You load a config in-game by typing 'exec <configname>.cfg' in console OR binding a button to said command.

You could bind your numberpad to load up each map, there are more than enough buttons.
