I would like to be the 1st to make a fun map with the prefix "fun" so here it is. Pipes in mario take you from 1 place to another same in this map. I will probable add more to it but I want to try this out 1st.
somthing I just noticed. the unzippe file is about 28 megs uncompressed. My skybox is compressed to 97% that's what I call compression.

I actually made a Mario map for CS(fy_mario), some time ago when I was still playing that game. And I have a couple of mario-textures, that I made for that map. Very cool map!
Some suggestions though:
a) The floating at the far end of the alien base... it seems you made it so you can't build there... which is fine except you "hovar witout flapping" <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
b) One of the pipes above marine start is kind of in the way for the comm. If ya could make that a func_seethrough (or whatever the name is) that'd be peachy!
c) The sky... well it's kind of bland! Maybe where the pipes "go into the sky" make it look like they go "into clouds". Just a cloud like texture at the base of the pipe or something! Again, func_seethrough's.
d) Can't remember where it was... but there is a model that replaces the CS chicken with a flying Goomba... if you could just get it in there too! Check the "skin of the day" archives on <a href='http://csnation.net' target='_blank'>CS-Nation</a> cuz that'd be cool.
And if you can... some mario sounds or music would be teh pwn! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Can't wait to try this map with some people!
ok its a funmap, I wont play it! its too ugly for my taste. and look at the pics: maybe if you changed the models skins to look more "mario" it would fit. so its just nonsense in my eyes... completely nonsense. but nethertheless funmap gamer: enjoy this map.

hint: dont use carve because the result will always be poor. try to vertex manipulate the objects to the shape you want. when used right the vertex manipulation tool can be the most powerful tool in vhe!!!

that would PWN!
maybe as a easter egg you can have a hidden room where there's a model of mario, toad, luigi, peach, and bowser!!!
How about having the boxes do something? Perhaps have a few that are illusionary and when you pass through them you get a long jump pack, armour, or activate some doors or something.
Looks good, gameplay needs work IMO.
