I use Coil's chibiskulk because it looks cool. And I've "customized" some of the sound effects around.

I use the dark alien skin pack, AVP shottie(until i can find a better one) and a sword for a knife. The sword looks surprisingly cool in 3rd person view when heavy weapon guys hold it.

edit I use custom MT sprites and the SC Upgrade sprites

The default models are nice, but they get boring to use every day since 1.0. I change my models around quite a bit, trying new ones. Only one I've really stuck with is the Starcraft Drone one.

Oh yes, chibi skulk scares me.

I use stock models but my own <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=38221&s=' target='_blank'>custom crosshairs</a> which I am not going to bother finishing since the 2.0 ones are going to be better. If anyone wants though I will do a decent welder one.

Can someone give me a link to the chibiskulk model?

And can someone please tell me what this 'smartgun' business is??!

if i dont recall wrong, smartgun is a weapon in Alien vs Predator...

The smartgun is a HMG replacement and is held differently from the default model, so the marine model requires a little tweaking (replacing its HMG animations) for it to look right.

Never saw any reason for changing my models, so my NS is completely standard. Then again, I never modified my CS models either, so I'm just weird.

I don't use any custom models or sprites. NS is beautiful, I would never change it.

I have no real desire to alter the models of the game. I suppose if I had the option I would install higher resolution models.

I have seen a few of my friends use 'joke' type models for CS. Not as a cheat but just because they are a silly bunch. I could never understand how they could keep playing with the abnormal looking models they were using. To each his own I guess.

Ns models are superb, and thats why I use a slightly remade Deamon Elite Pack. Just recoloured heaps of the buildings and guns with yellow and red, added a silencer for the LMG (default with deamon elite like skin) but im still looking for a pistol and HMG that looks good with a silencer. I also use a slightly enhanced spore/umbra/hive sight sprite and red HUDS (carbon14's), uprade and crosshair sprites. Also as an after though I added yellow nano-drop, teleport and phase sprites.
I've never really liked the green theme of the vanilla NS models, they seemed out of place in the dark grey corridors of NS.

there is nothing wrong with the stock models or skins and they shouldn't be chanced and could be considered use for cheating, hence why they are banned by CAL. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>

I have custom crosshairs and a custom marine upper hud thingy (the one that makes it look like a broken power circuit or whatever), but the models are all normal.
