You may have to right click and save rather then just clicking. I don't plan to leave it up for more then a day.

The guy this recording is of plays in the server somewhat often, ive always had a hutch that he uses an aimbot...after downloading and testing one my suspicions increased. Finnally, I decided to make a recording. And boy did I catch, what I think, are some doozies in it.

Let me know what you think about this recording, I do not know tons about hacks, cheats, and aimbots. I have heard of a mysterious flashlight exploit though im not sure what it does...im told he was using that too.

Please be sure you dont' link any hacks or exploits or any sites that explain them. We do not want to encourage more cheaters.

Its about 2 meg zipped, Little under 10 unzip. If anyone else can host it for a week or so please let me know. Several people from the server wanted to download it and im sure many others are interested.

Im 90% sure he is, WonID is included in that recording should you wanna ban em from your server.

I thought he was generally suspicious. I might watch it over again.

The one thing, other than his astonishingly good aim, that made me think he +might+ h4x is the fact he can't handle his JP too well. I've noticed those who are good shots or generally just good players can 9 times out of 10 handle themselves well with a jetpack.

The bullets coming out sideways from his gun was a bit odd too. But that might just be dodgy HL code in action <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

I agree with that...plus in the one part at power subjunction he was flipping all around really funny which, to me, looked like auto aim. The other funny thing is near the end as marines started to loose (and you can see this at the very end of hte movie) his aim became crap. Sadly I stopped the recording before then because I didn't want it to be to large.

But past the recording he was missing left and right, dieing alot, etc. Also someone else had mentioned they were gonna record him...which may be why he did it, im not sure.

Though in past games as lerk he has flipped and flopped all over hap-hazardly and at the same time dropped 3+ marines. Im quite good at doding firing and being unpredictable and he didnt' miss me once at that time. Also as gorge ive seen him drop a marine without missing his acid spit once....all the while ducking behind an OC for cover. I rarely (can't even remember the last time) accuse people of cheating unless its plainly obvious. To me, its quite obvious now.

I was in that game , and i must say he was dropping fades left and right, like 6 fades withouth dying ina matter of seconds . I watched him for a bit but didnt record anything.

If he is willing to use 1 exploit, i am sure he will be willing to use others .

Ontopic though - it really didn't seem like an aimbot to me. I've had little experience with this sort of thing but this seems ok to me. He killed a few fades but so what? He didn't kill 6 fades in a row or anything - only separately at different points. At one stage a fade even went past him and he did nothing until it had turned its back to him. I can't believe the fade didn't see him.

And at certain points (like in SJ3) he stopped shooting because he didn't have a direct hit at a fade / skulk. If he had an aimbot wouldn't it automatically have targeted all those alien structures there?

Yeah looks like an aimbot, mainly because of where his aim was on the fades. The ****... its the fades weakspot, must be because the bullets hit 2 places at once doing twice the damage or something. But it will down a fade in seconds. Also it must be a aimbot you can choose when to activate as it didnt auto aim the skulks as they spawn, but it did on the fades when he needed it. With an alias like Boo its most likely, just like i suspect people that call themselves . (fullstop).

Nope, this is one thign I tested when I played with an aimbot. They dont' target chambers because chambers are objects, not people. If the aimbot targeted object you'd be shooting every door, button, etc.

As for boo...he actually talks quite a bit and plays the game. Its just so many people leave because he is using the aimbot. At this point I really don't even bother saying maybe.

Also two more things:
1. He turned down a shotty. Well a shotty and aimbot wouldnt' work real well together. Then again alot of people suck with shotty so its not extream proof, just something to point out.

2. Like above, not extream proof, but notice all those times he goes afk? To alter hack settings you usually play in a little console (unless you have a key bound such as aimbot on/off). Id' rekon thats what he is doing.

3. When he is afk in his base the fade starts attacking and he instantly looked at it...yet still seemed to be afk. Im not 100% sure on this one since someone pointed it out to me, I was busy talking at the time, it may be in the recording.

There are no 'weakspots'. The bullets to the same damage, regardless of where you hit them. It's just a matter of aiming at a larger spot.

I looked at this, and although it isn't blantant, I am certain this guy cheats. I have observerd enough cheaters and non-cheaters to know the difference. He bounced around between targets without missing a shot.

Yes there are no weak spots in terms of where damage is dealt but there are points in the models skeleton where you can do double damage.

i'm interested in taking a look at this, as i'd like to see h4xor in action, mainly so i know when to accuse people of doing so in the future <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>

i myself have no interest in using any hacks to better my score or make myself look good, so i may test one out one day...

i might check the demo out when i get home from work if it's still being hosted,

aside from that, as i've been growing more experienced, i've encountered aliens that seem real sus. I usually have confidence in the fact that i'm a certain distance away from a skulk to avoid getting bitten, but then theres some that seem to have incredible range on their bite, and the ones that even though you jump back/strafe out of the way, they seem to curve in midair to bite you head-on....

would this seem dodgy to anyone else? these are the types of things that make me think "oh that was sooo bs"

For starters I wasn't playing, I was spectating....you learn alot by doing that and its often funner to spec a mid game then join late.

I've seen other aimbotters on other servers before and this guy behaves exactly like another aimbotter I've observed. At CC hive, a skulk runs under him and gets killed quickly... Do you know how hard it is to shoot something right beneath you?
