Boo's movement was fluid, which is the movement of a hand on a mouse, and also he looked away after a skulk was in his vision, which is difficult when you have an aimbot.

Just a quick question, have any of you seen the vets play?
Those guys are bloody amasing to watch, there really is 3 levels to NS play Pub play Clan play VET play
Just two of them were on marines on a server i was in, 8 v 8, the aliens couldnt even leave the hive area (the werent spawncamping, they were outside the hive (near the main aft junction outside engine corridor, on bast)).
My point is, from what i saw in that demo, this guy is of clan level, playing on a public server, Its not hard to completely massacre a pub alien team, and still have the aliens win in the end.
Fades arent invincible by all means, a LMG kills them pretty fast, but a HMG will bring one down in about 2 seconds easily.
Killing with lerk spikes is VERY easy.
Your JP theory is missplaced also, my FPS is so erratic (100 - 30) that i cant JP near marine base, or any hive area, as well as i can in the corridors.
You are right that one guy cant pull a team to victory, and the majority of the players on the server seemed to be less skilled than they would like to believe.
the bit where u say his aim snapped to the fade in maint, looked to me like he was doing something away from the screen and heard the acid rockets and put his hand on the mouse (note the burst of fire from the HMG)
But of course, each to thier own, if it makes you feel better thinking he hacks, then think away, but unless you can view his HL folder personally and see a list of his directories in there, try not to be so adamant that he uses any cheats.
No, Darkfrost. He's just aimbotting. Watch some of those demos of the USA vs. * matches, compare, say, FireWater's tracking with boo's. There's a difference. I doubt FW could track a skulk mid air for the entire duration of a leap with 100% accuracy, for example.

I do not know what to think of this demo. Many times I went "ooo nice kill!" and few times I was like "OMG BS!" But he got that one leaping skulk I kinda got suspicious, but its an HMG and a few stray bullets can kill an uncarapaced skulk.
Otherwise, I don't see anything suspicious. He for the most part used good tactics when attacking. He was very aggressive against those fades by flying right up to them or chasing them to make sure all bullets hit and I think those aliens are **** cause they think Fades are invincible or somethin!
I find it annoying that people are accusing him of cheating because he can actually track with a JP.

Although it is hard to detect if someone is cheating or not in game and Cheating-Death doesn't prevent all cheaters from entering a game, There should be a stronger defence against AIMBOTing, due to the design of the Half-Life engine and a lot of other games, aimbots have become a ugly reality for people whom do not want to take the time to get actual skill, these are the people that never finish games because they are 'too hard' and usually end up cheating and think they can cheat at anything in life.

Just finished watchin the demo. Definitely some sketchy stuff.
I saw 2 things that brought up a flag:
1. He was trying to kill a fade through a wall. Near maintenance, the Fade was coming from Computer Core.
Note: It's true good players can hear an enemy from a lenght away, but not in the middle of a fire fight. And why waste bullets (especially for a SLOW RELOADING HMG) shooting a wall? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
2. The afk at Maintenance, then instant burst of fire at the attacking Fade. Yeah, he could have been answering the phone and just moved the mouse to get a few shots in, but most would have just strafe right on the keyboard; move out of the way.
I couldn't load the Bob demo; some error. I wanted to compare.
This aimbot crap makes me miss Quake 3: Railing. It was easier to tell an aimbotter from a true elite just by his/her strategy and movement. I'm finding this harder to do in NS.
Kinda curious but I can't download it. I go by the name of boo sometimes and I've been banned from some servers (not recently) for cheating. (I assure you I'm not cheating lol) Anyways, can anyone host this file? All three of them doesnt work (now anyway, have to wait 3 hours for the bandwidth limit).
I think we'll all agree that telling for certain is nearly impossible without 1st person chasecam.
The two things I didn't like were the Fade in Maintenance & killing the Leaping Skulks.
Now, on the flip side, there were several instances where I don't think an aimbotter would have died.
One thing a lot of you don't realize is there are much, much better people out there than you know. You refer to FireWater as the bar of skill. I was in top Q3A & CS clans & he ain't anywhere near the best.
Anywho, at the end of the day, "so what?" OH MY GOD SOMEONE IS CHEATING ON A PUB !!! Seriously. Take his WONID, ban him if you think he cheats, simple. I'd be interested in seeing a 1.1 demo of him.
chia-ono, if you know who I am then the films probably about you. Otherwise your not the same boo.
Also for the record keep in mind staying alive has nothing to do with an aimbot. Aimbots dont' let you reload faster therefore just because boo dies doesn't mean he isn't cheating.
As for his wonid, I listed it in the film early on, then again at the end. I can't think of it off hand and I would prefer not to give the one I wrote down just in case its the wrong one.

In my experience the only anatomy people activly aim at is legs. Some aim at head but its usually just spray and pray hoping they hit with one bullet. In action I use to always go for legs becasue it slowed the target down and prevented them from getting near me (if they had a close range gun)

I really dunno about the aimbot though. The way he aimed, it was like... good, but slow. You know it when you see an aimbotter because he snap aims all the time. Some of that demo I didn't see an aimbot at, some of it was just good aiming. Either that or he's got a slow aimbot.
Since this is related I thought I would post it here ...
There are an awful lot of hacks out for NS now. I did some research and posted a mini article on my site:
<a href='http://thehavennet.org.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=48&mode=nested&order=0&thold=-1' target='_blank'>The cheats are here ...</a>
Its quite bad - lots of the cheats are pretty old now but will work fine on most servers. Cheating Death (required mode only) stops most of the aimbotting but doesn't touch wallhacking. There are so many cheats available for NS (about 16 at last count) that I haven't the time to test them all so I just did the one review of the main one in use at the moment. Combined with the well known NS exploits it paints a fairly bleak picture unfortunately. I haven't spent any time getting around Cheating Death but I suspect that it is do-able. The best you can do to keep your servers cheat free at the moment is run CD in require mode and make sure you have plenty of honest admins. As for stopping exploits - there are various mods that can help you there - look around in the forums.
Please don't ask what cheats or where I got them as I wont give such information out.
Remeber that a good aimbot doesn't make it so you never miss, a good aimbot makes it so you can kill enemies easily without making it obivous your using an aimhack. There are several reason i saw in this movie that make me believe he is using one. First thing you will notice is when he's at the outside of comp core two skulks come running out, one leaps towards him and he mows him down fairly quickly the other leaps towards the door up the ramp alittle so about 90 degrees to this "boo" what amzing is how quickly he switched between the first skulk and the second after the first died, not even sure he paused his firing, but the most amazing thing is he shot the second skulk down mid leap at a 90 degree angel to him with amazing accuracy, No human i know can accuratly track a target moving that fast. the next thing that seem to give it away for me, once again at comp corehe kills a fade and then a egg and a defence chamber under the hive... he then creep into the hive alittle bit, suddenly his view whips about 45 degrees to the left, the HMG blares for a second and bam a dead gorge, he turned really fast and didn't seem to hesitate at all with firing, I know if i tried to turn that fast I'd not be right on the gorge that soon, might overshot alittle. and the third and most likly the most evident reason that he uses an aimbot is when he attack fades, look where he shoots them, always in the feet always down low, I never saw him hit a fade above the belt. all the player i know aim for the head outa instict from playing those other FPS where a head shot is a quick kill, the reason he aims for the feet can be for one simple reason, Most likly this bot he is using is designed just for NS, now when you build an aimbot for NS what are you thinking of as the target? Skulks of course, weak yet their speed keeps them alive, so in general when You'd "lock on" to a skulk model, when you'd test the bot out it would seem to aim high (aim for middle of the skulk hitbox, which i believe is slighty above the skulk model) no problem, just tweak the bot so it aims abit lower and hit the skulks dead on, and voila you get a fade leg shooter
<!--QuoteBegin--Kadreal<lost>+Jun 23 2003, 01:05 PM--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (Kadreal<lost> @ Jun 23 2003, 01:05 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> ... and voila you get a fade leg shooter <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> For anybody research the NS aliens hitbox it is obvious that the critical hits on fade are little down from pelvis (between legs). That aim technique it is not a cheat-or sign. Test please.

Seriously, do leaps as a skulk and check if anyone can shoot you from above without missing once. Best aimers I've seen maybe land 3-4 shots and thats it. I can maybe get one lucky hit from above and I'm not THAT bad. This guy just mows down leaping skulks from above like no tomorrow. It's easy to stick your head in a bush and pretend cheats didn't exist. I have to admit cheats/hacks are really, really rare (I've never seen in-game), but they exist and new ones are being made so anti-cheat programs have to keep up with them. So, this guy is either somekind of an asian Kung-Fu master with psychic powers and can see few seconds to the future or he is just using an aimbot made by real people in the real world...
The thing that really made me think he cheated was when the skulk ran right underneath him. I don't know if you ever tried it before, but it is almost impossible to track a skulk that runs DIRECTLY underneath you do to HL code. You can only aim so far down that you have to spin to keep tracking a fast moving object. The speed at which he spun around was amazingly fast, and nobody with human reflexes can do that.
So, in my humble opinion, I think that guy does cheat, but its not completely proven. If this movie was taken from first person perspective in 1.1, it would be much easier to judge.

shares the name of one of my clanmates, but my clanner does not hack and it's a girl not a guy, <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> (my clanner that is).
I really dunno about the aimbot though. The way he aimed, it was like... good, but slow. You know it when you see an aimbotter because he snap aims all the time. Some of that demo I didn't see an aimbot at, some of it was just good aiming. Either that or he's got a slow aimbot.
For anybody research the NS aliens hitbox it is obvious that the critical hits on fade are little down from pelvis (between legs). That aim technique it is not a cheat-or sign. Test please.
In my case that - hence why I resort to burst shooting - and really low FPS rates.
i quess ur the expert on this one <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

Oh, yeaaaaah... We can expect a real objective truth from you, huh? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
So, in my humble opinion, I think that guy does cheat, but its not completely proven. If this movie was taken from first person perspective in 1.1, it would be much easier to judge.
