<div class="IPBDescription">status. ideas.</div> After 6 days of bugfixing I guess im now ready to animate this baby finally (last 4 animations thrown away for bugfixing).
Polycount decreased.
Bonesystem optimized.
Basic animations (walking + bending + looking around) working.
Wapon alignment fixed.
2 textures (white and black llama (hiding at red arrow)) in "releasable" state (look at theese curte eyes).
To fix:
Face skinmesh needs fixing.
Fur needs fixing.
Texture could need improvements.
animation plans (already tested but deleted due bugfixing):
walking = Good looking 4 step walk.
crouching = sitting on its back (looks great)
crouched-walk = walking forward while sitting on its back (looks werid, need ideas).
Jumping = both legs go back quickly.
Jetpacking = both legs stay in a straight back-position (looks like superman-llama)
misc:
Ears, Fur and tail can move realistic, eg; while looking up the ears fall back, looking down makes ears "fall" forward.
A llama looking around looks cute.
decitions to do:
How to add a jetpack? one on left and one on right side? Maybe a superman cape or magic carpet?
v model: custom v_model showing the weapon in the mouth? hairs in the view? Reloading with the tounge?
sounds: oorgle, custom walk sound?
How to crounch-walk?
idle animation (and other) suggestions?

crouch-walk: I suppose something like the onos, but in llama-sized. (what does the onos have as crouch anim anyway?)
idle: just sitting around I suppose, maybe scratching his belleh with his weapon :/ How do llamas behave irl?

also "chewing" as idle animation.
Its holding all guns correctly in its mouth, just turned by 90° to fit.
the knife looks up normally.
The marine model has a submodel for a jetpack-marine.
Found no football helmet and a football helmet just wont look right if the ears should still go up and the mouth should fit.
Searched a roman helmet but found no lowpoly model. So I gave it a simple medieval/viking helmet from PVK (hl mod).

- Its in the mouth because it looks around by rotating its neck (mostly) -> weapon always aims were it looks at. Other positions at the head or neck would just look worse.
- It aims forward. (dont laught , thats difficult)
- its turned sideways by 90° to have the grip perfectly in the mouth (fear the trigger tounge).
- its on the left side because the lmg magazine looks downward this way. This way the lmg looks best. If I could mirror the lmg easily I would put it on the right side to make all weapons look better.

EDIT: oopz... sorry got confused with the jp and crouch lol.
I cant bend that lowpoly knee by 160° without looking bad.
Making it that bendable requires 5-10 more polygons per knee.
The neck and head of the crounching model should be as low as possible because its always too high.
- Uhh, so is this a normal marine skin or just for the people llamafied by a plugin ?
Its both in one right now.
- Jp animations.
As long as you fly in the air without touching the bottom you show the jump animation that stops at the last frame (looks funny).
Once you touched the bottom for a second but continue flying you might show the "crounch (or crouch-walk)" animation for some time wich looks ugly because thats a sitting position.
- walking animations:
its a classic you build something and while you build you circlestrave around it.
this leads to 2 problems.
1 - Your walk animation shows feets moving faster than the ground below you. No big problem because the llama walk (and crouch walk) animation with its 4 feet and bending front legs-looks just too funny in any situation.
2 - circle straving and switching strave direction makes your legs and back "stwitch" its directions quicly. You dont notice the marines back stwitching from left to right while circlestraving because its not that big.
On the llama thats different, but funny in some situations. See the a.. wiping llama. (Its smoother than you think)
oh well, it will still be funny
