Well I honestly don't have anything to add to this.. it's amazing how many fewer noobs I get on my server when I kick on join anyone with "NSP" in there name. (Of course I give them a nice little message telling them their name is reserved and they should figure out how to change the name). In the beginning it was so annoying to have 9 NSplayers on a 16 person server.
lol ::esuna::. I think that's the best so far. Giving the welder out.
The noob I was playing against misinterpreted some of the terms that are most commonly used. I don't think he even knew that aliens were involved. He thought comm was commando (found that out later). I was the comm in this game.

Another one to the books of me being a selfish SOB. But i get like this sometimes.
I'm specifically giving orders to 4 heavies (and a stock marine that decided to tag along) to take out hives. We took down engine (this is bast btw) and i gave them a way point to the door at the entrance, just to regroup and get welded for the next hive. So one of them decides to abscond from the group. I ask him "where the hell are you going" and no reply, i give him a waypoint to the rest of the group. No reply. I spend the next 5 minutes sending team_say messages and ordering him to regroup with the heavy team. No reply. So i think "F this" and decided to spend the rest of the game ignoring his requests and not even giving him so much as a medpack. If he's gonna waste my time, i'm not going to waste my res on him.
So long story short. He gets extremely irritated at flings insults at me over global chat, which incurred the wrath of myself and the rest of the team. He disconnected, reconnected as an alien. This rather **** off the admin. He is +EXTREMELY+ in their bad books now and i +think+ got kicked for a period for switching teams. Rest assured nobody heard a peep out of him for the following games.
[MORE OT THAN ABOVE] Would any other of you comms out there deny someone basic supplies such as medpacks and ammo (and especially weapons and armour) to a rogue marine who ends up wasting HA, HMG, and a welder on them when they trot off and die on their own and don't even follow orders dispite persistant requests (yes, friendly at first) to get back with the squad and help win the game? This is from when I was a newb comm...
I wanted to try being a comm for once, so our current comm left once when the aliens had just gotten 3 hives... Since I knew the game couldn't get any better at this point (1.03) I decided to jump in the comm chair. So this was my first time in there, some of the things seemed pretty obvious though. Like green dots on minimap being marines. So I noticed that about 3 had gotten outside of base and were near computer core, so of course, I did the smart thing and dropped a tf. Well I thought I dropped a tf... I couldn't tell it apart from an arms lab. I was embarassed and practiced basic comming with bots for a while after that. When I had more skill I then tried comming with ppl and had wins and losses. The end.
Comm: how to drop pistol Me: You can't. Comm: but there is an icon for pistol i want to drop Me: That's an upgrade icon. You can't drop it. Comm: what is upgrade

I stay back to build and everyone else goes out to do their thing (I can cover myself). So, comm proceeds to drop three more comm chairs in marine start. Wait.. it gets better... So he gets out after I tell him politely that he doesn't need to be in the chair, but needs to let me do it. two minutes later, marines start respawning in base and are like "WTH?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> Three comm chairs??" and eject me before you can say res node. That seriously ticked me off. I couldn't comm for the next three hours. As for the n00b, he follwed me around the rest of the game and the next three games after. I showed him the ropes, and eventually (I think) he got the hang of it. But, the moral of the story is - when you're voting to eject - make sure you know what you're doing, please. People should have listened to me when I told them that I did NOT build three comm chairs (which weren't recycled now that I think of it, but I'm not sure if you can recyclye a comm chair - never tried it) .

i think the funniest thing that happend to me was that when i first started, after running about shooting aliens for about 5 mins, i asked my team and the comm how i could buy a better wepon. The com said that u couldent and began to explain. However as soon as the text chat came up on the screan explaining it all another message came up from the admin saying "NOOB CS PLAYERS, FU* OFF BK HOME" Then he kicked and banned me!

Game start as usual. base established very well. 5 mins pass no upgrades yet, one hive locked down tho. me:Comm can you upgrade us please, if we cant get the other hive before them we wont be able to hold them back. *silence* 10 mins and we couldnt get the 2nd hive, fades were arround the corner. me:Comm select the arms lab and upgrade us Comm:shhh i know what im doing. me:(in team say) well i can only pray the fades take regen then cause if they have cara we are dead. Comm:(in global) Why would upgrading you guns help against carapace. me: :S
On NS nothing some n00b jumped in the CC, not knowing what he was doing he click on the RT and clicked recycle, once it had reclycled he team_says: wow I own, mega res!!!, about 3 seconds later the skulks come round the corner, I think a few of us managed to hold back the first wave, but the comm never dropped an IP.
I think the funniest thing i ever seen is what i just saw now. The rines had a silly com who simply made a ginormas base for himself and his team and didnt send his team out for res or nethin.
SO after a while me the gorge had got every single res node cept the rine start one. This meant that we had 3 hives and constant 100 res.
ONOS TIME.
Well me and 2 other onoses went in the turn table thing on i dont know which map. The one with the big lift at rine start and had cloaking. SO we all cloaked inside this turn thing and when it stoped a newbie rine walked in and ran for the switch so he could go outside. HOWEVER he couldent make it to the switch cos sumthin was blocking him(MUWHAHAHAHAHAH btw) and didnt seem to know that there were 3 onoses right next to him chuckleing. SO he finds the button eventualy and presses it. Half way round we all say BOO on chat after plannin it on team chat and hit him.
I swear me musta had the fright of his entire life he actualy duck jumpe and started shooting wildly, i think this is cos he bashed his keyboard in fright.
After he died sum1 asked him what he felt like his reply "Shut up noob cheats"
HE thought we was cheating to b invisable. at which point everyone who saw the insident typed LMAO andLOL ETC

We lost
SO after a while me the gorge had got every single res node cept the rine start one. This meant that we had 3 hives and constant 100 res.
ONOS TIME.
Well me and 2 other onoses went in the turn table thing on i dont know which map. The one with the big lift at rine start and had cloaking. SO we all cloaked inside this turn thing and when it stoped a newbie rine walked in and ran for the switch so he could go outside. HOWEVER he couldent make it to the switch cos sumthin was blocking him(MUWHAHAHAHAHAH btw) and didnt seem to know that there were 3 onoses right next to him chuckleing.
SO he finds the button eventualy and presses it. Half way round we all say BOO on chat after plannin it on team chat and hit him.
I swear me musta had the fright of his entire life he actualy duck jumpe and started shooting wildly, i think this is cos he bashed his keyboard in fright.
After he died sum1 asked him what he felt like his reply "Shut up noob cheats"
HE thought we was cheating to b invisable. at which point everyone who saw the insident typed LMAO andLOL ETC

reminds me of playin on a LAN server with some friends.
