Well the skulk rotation was demonstrated by Monsieur Evil in a very short clip.. Dunno how to search for it though.. Try a few and I'm sure youll find something!

I'm just curious: how many of us are actually old enough to have played text adventure games like that? I've still got a few around on 5.25" disks, with a working disk drive too! (not that I play them anymore, but for the sake of nostalgia).

edit: and the huge floppy disks thingies total own! i think a actully have a B drive (5.25) in some really old comp in my basement, at least 11 or 12 years old.
God damn this is off-topic, but I must have had about 100 5.25" floppy cover disks from ancient PC magazines; some of the stuff on them wasn't bad, I remember fondly an obscure RPG (essentially Ascii-based, B/W only) which was basically the first game I played obsessively (followed by Super Mario, Wolfenstein 3D and Darklands).
Anyway, my parents threw them away when me moved house, in spite of me asking they be kept <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'm all about telnet right now. Its just like the text based ns! I just recently discovered this underground gaming comunity. You guys should check it out. all i do is START>RUN>telnet. When the thing opens I type 'open dsl-mud.org 4000' and it connects!. That's really the only one I know but there are several others I do believe.
Um, spitfire, I honestly don't want to insult you but... are you being sarcastic or did you actually not know MUDs? I had a good time playing those, and they can still teach a lesson to MMO games the likes of "earth and beyond". Still, it is more of a thing for hardcore chatters than FPS players.
Yea, I used to play softporn adventure which was really just leisure suit larry all text. Ahh, was quite an interesting game when your only in 3rd grade.

The first game I played was an ASCII pacman on a clone of a 8086 machine, back when most people in my (eastern) half of Germany did not know what a PC looked like. I also proud myself with having played the very first version of Tetris ever written. And, just for the record, I'm 23 years old.

Though the MonsE update I'm most eager for is RR's "Budget Traitor" - the last one rocked.
