Too Much Ns?

or maybe I'm a prophet
Yesterday some guy joined the server I was playing in, and proceeded to tell everyone that 1.1 had been released, and that he was 'dling it now'. A few people threw some smarta$$ comments his way, and that was the last he mentioned about it. But last night, this kinda segued into a dream I was having - I was playing NS as a lerk, and suddenly I was able to look up and over myself, pitchup 9999-style. Then someone told me that 1.1 had been released (and I was somehow able to benefit even though I was still using the original client - eh dreams aren't meant to make sense) and it turned out I could swoop and dive LIKE A BIRD. I didn't get to try it out on anyone though, because that was the end of the NS-sponsored portion of my dream. I really hope it ends up like this, though

very true, and there can never be enough NS
You're walking around in public somewhere, like in a mall or something, and happen to look up maybe. And see some little nook in the architecture and think something like, "Hey, I could get up there and wait for some 'rines to come by! It'd be perfect!" Or if you walk through a doorway or something, where the room you are walking into opens up above, and you find yourself hesitating for a moment, thinking that a skulk might be on the wall above the doorway ready to pounce.
Does anyone else experience this?
some nights ago I dreamed about NS action figures and two special characters who where me and one of my clanmates...

ROFL
I've experienced this multiple times
Dreaming about games ( dreamt about Black&White before that was released cause I were on those forums a lot and let's just say it's like waiting for 1.1 times 2 )
And sometimes when I've played a game a lot I see stuff from the game if I close my eyes ( don't remember any examples but for example if I would have been playing tetris I'd see falling blocks )
Also sometimes when im on the street I hear ppl stepping on mines and hearing the trrt beeps in houses.
Other sounds from other games I hear are usually the "u have been promoted" sound of C&C and when ur units are promoted "tututun!"
I also have the wolfenstein3d all weapon cheat printed on my eyes "ILM"
somehow every word that has this letters combined reminds me of the smiling face of Blaskawitz in wolfenstein 3d :/
he woke up and had his hand clamped behind his neck. =\
o yea, if you eat big marshmallows in yer sleep, that can be bad also
One was falling over a waterfall, and I woke up with the impact, and had to stand up for like 5 minutes to convince myself I wasn't falling anymore. The other was being hit in the face with a bat, and I woke up with a pounding throb in my skull, which lasted for several hours.
Damn those sympathetic neural principles.
Hint to the people with NS dreams : Play less. Sleep more. All good.

Wish I could remember the term for those dreams. If anyone happens to know please post it cause this is bugging me.
Only game I've ever really dreamed about was Metal Gear Solid. I got that for Christmas a while ago and played it non stop for like 2 days. Had dreams about it each night. Such an addicting game, and the dream was quite fun itself.
and if you play that sound backwards, it says "Buy NS merchandise"...mmm..subliminal...
hahahahaha....
yes, im sure every gamer worth their salt has had at least one dream like this...
just remember, moderation in all things
Heh, I used to have that problem if I was doing some kind of intense mental work, like revision, before I went to sleep (last-minute studying is definitely my thing). Sometimes I'd end up trying to figure things out while I was dreaming, and it's the least reSUYFl sleep you can imagine. You wake up and you know what's happening, but you just can't get your mind to switch track. Ugh. The other kind of dream I hate are the ones where you think you've already woken up. You get up, go through your morning routine, catch the bus into work and do a couple of hours (or so it seems) - and then you wake up, realize you were actually dreaming and that you have to go through the whole thing again. Heh, now I keep thinking of Catch-22 references. But on a positive note, I love those nights where time seems to pass slowly - you have a really long dream, then you wake up and it's still 3 or 4 am. Those rock. Let's hear it for sleeping!
You make baby jesus cry.

but dreaming about NS... why dream of something that's real ?

Your point? Although I'm not too fond of Freud, the word "denial" comes to mind.
This is *not* normal. If you dream about this a lot (high frequensy compared to other dreams), then it's not just some random thought that got in by mistake. You dream about things you're afraid of or what you're really focused on/think about a *lot* (I'll let you guess what most "normal" teenagers are focused on...). If you dream about NS, it can mean two things really: a) NS is a big part of your life or b) you've been playing NS for a long time without sleeping. Both scenarios are directly unhealthy, as computer games really get you nowhere. It's supposed to be a break from life, not life in itself. If it's that important to you, then you have a problem (just like a gambler or alcoholic). And playing games for a long time without sleeping, well, any doctor worth his salt will tell you that's a bad idea...
That being said, I once had a dream about something similar. There was a lot of trouble over at the Swirve forum one night, and I had to ban the same person(s) over and over again for about 3 hours. Unfortunately for me, I started it at about 1 AM and I was rather tired then. My frustration combined with lack of sleep gave me a dream related to the forum (if I remember correctly, it was the same thing all over again but worse).

Actually, a day's events can often partake in a dream. If you really concentrate on one event on that day, you'll often dream about it. Sometimes you just concentrate sublimily on it too, although I don't have any examples.
Another weird type of dreaming thing I have EVERY year and I do stress that. When school ends, I dream that I have to go back for some reason or the school year's been expanded. I have these nightmares for about 1 or 2 weeks and then I have normal dreams. At the end of vacation when school has started I dream I am still on vacation. Well that's nice at least.
I remember having one NS dream... sort of. I was an alien and running by an area where there was a third race in the game called the Ceten (sound familier?) Well all I know is the Ceten always lost and people usually forgot about them, I actually mentioned this dream in another post.
As for looking for hiding places or thinking where to place turrets in everyday life I don't think that. Although after the first time I played Resident Evil with two of my friends, we had to go to the basement to get some drinks, we walked down the stairs and before we got to the bottom, we poked our heads around the corner to check for any zombies. We were scared but that was one of the most fun nights of my life, (you had to be there at the time).
is that bad?
I'm thinking a wall of lame around my bed. *lmao*
It's scary thinking any marine could come marching into my room and I'd have no defence at all...
I guess in some places that fear is a reality. o_O
I once dreamed I had a girlfriend. Im serious.
It was actually kinda cool, I was just sitting next to her (couldnt see her face) and a huge wave of relief came over me, I just felt like everything froze for a second and my life was perfected.
