SRY that I said anything. Just wanted to make this suggestion cuz it would be an improvement in my eyes atleast.
But from now on I will just shut up if thats what you want BlackPanther.

Well it raised the origins a bit to show more details and made it further from the edge of the screen so you can actually see your trigger finger
Here's a VERY early ingame screenshots, with just the mesh, DUO MAXWELL's animations and with my origins:
needs a bit more adjusting imo, but looks nice
I won't say much about the obvious (hand not clamped to gun, missing trigger hand, skin). But my 2cents about the origins - I realize this is very early, but these are just my picky opinions, do what you want about them .
To me, it doesn't look "beefy" enough to me with those origins. The natural POV warping seems to stretch it too much when the weapon protrudes from too low/far right on the screen. I hate to suggest covering up your craftmanship, but I would pull it back a little and center a little more to give it a little more thinkness and bring the player to the weapon.
That's one of the things I liked about Maxwell's was that it really felt "snug" in your player's arms and the player's hands grip it nice and close to your perspective. Your current origin's kind of give me the "pole" feeling. Pole Effect: Weapon is placed too far off from player's view that the stabalizing (left) arm looks like it has to stretch to clasp the weapon properly - like they are holding a big long pole; detaches player from the game as the way it portrays you holding it does not look natural.
To clarify if that doesn't make sense, imagine how you would hold a fat Gatling Gun while saying "Say hello to mah little friend!" You would hold it nice and low, out and relaxed. The pole effect is when you get this feeling while holding an LMG, SMG type weapon that you would naturally hold nice and close to your body.
I've never held a real gun nor have I made a model, I'm just very observational, and that's what I have observed. Oh, and don't get me wrong, your work looks great so far, I'm just offering up my opinions . I'm glad to see progress
Dunno what you had in mind for a skin ( greeny pulse rifle I s'pose..), but it looks nice in shiny black..but then, my inner goth wants to make everything black and shiny..
I understand your concerns... and i agree with your feedback (which i must give you credit.. cuz thats the best feedback i've ever had on any of my models posted here! )
YES, my main concern is the "beefyness" of the model as well... but thats how the real gun is. You can trust me 100% on this, i used CAD drawings when doing the model to make sure my proportions were perfect, short of using AUTOCAD to make it!
To make up for it, ill simply scale up the whole model ever so sligthly until im satisfied.
And you're also right about the model being too far right. I will recenter it more.
When I saw the model I thought. WOW finaly a Pulserifle that doesnt look like a hippo.
I agree that its a little to far from the "player".
Also thik that it point a to much ti the left. would prefer that it pointed more straight ahead. But maby thats just me.
Anyway Good work!
(If you want you can put me in the credits for the most annoying **** on your thread )
although some "impatient" folk around here have been asking me to release it like that! why?.. i do not know

Panther, were you skinning this yourself? And is that what's being worked on right now?
