<div class="IPBDescription">You COULD say this is a rant....</div> I canna believe i just wasted 2 hours playing NS....or rather TRYING to play NS.It certainly wasnt fun,as a game is supposed to be.What happened?
Round 1 : Asked marines to relocate,gave them a waypoint,50% just kept moving around in the location where they spawned,staring at the walls and occasionally popping off a shot or 2.25% ignored the waypoint and played rambo.12.5% decided to camp in base demanding a shotgun.The other 1 marine went to the hive,for all the good it did.Needless to say,aliens had fun eating marines who just couldnt stop staring at the walls.
Round 2 : Newbie rushes to the CC,sits in there,and after about 20 seconds or so askes "How to comm?".He just sits there,refusing to logout.We eject him,but then the skulk rush hits and we all die while we are hitting the eject button.
Round 3 : 2nd newbie rushes to the CC and plonks 2 IPs down instead of relocating to cargo bay hive.Then he insisted on making a turret farm.When i demanded to know why he was sabotaging the marine team,he said "relax lar game only wat.....".Tried to eject but everyone else was just too busy playing rambo to care.
Round 4 : Same newbie as round 3 comm went gorg about 3 minutes after i went gorg.Started spamming OCs in the middle of the sahara desert(aka NOWHERE),leaving the skulk defence at port engine short handed(another skulk went gorg for a RT).4 marines rush in and kill me just as i finish the RT and the 1 skulk there.PG goes up,game over.
Round 5 : Comm refused to relocate to cargo hive.Fine,its still a workable strategy.Then he hands out mines to a NSPlayer instead of people who know how to use them.Mines end up all stacked into a nice little spot on the floor.He told us to get to cargo hive and secure it.Okay.Hmm he didnt assign any defenders.Skulks waltz in and starts eating the base.He manages to get a CC and stuff in cargo.Skulks waltz into cargo hive and owned everybody.Marine playing rambo in power silo gets job to build CC.Skulks waltz into power silo and owned everyone,and this time,no res to relocate.
Round 6 : A newbie went gorg and planted a SC.Yes its possible to win,but its gonna be a LOT harder.He then proceeded to spam SCs EVERYWHERE for no good reason.The marine team made up of mostly vets didnt give us a chance.Aliens lost.
Round 7 : 6 people out of 7 marines decided to be complete jackasses and play rambo.When i mentioned this fact on open chat,they started hurling obscenties at me,blaming me for their inability to obey orders.They didnt realise how many people were laughing at their stupidity.
Round 8 : 4 marines at the end of a REALLY long corridor (its the one above viaduct hive)somehow managed to let 2 skulks kill them,when the skulks came from the other end of the corridor.The skulks didnt even strafe or jump.I saw everything from spec mode.That very long range and they STILL couldnt kill the skulks.The 4 marines kept blaming the comm for their inability to aim.Not again.......We lost the seige base and fades were bombarding our base in moments.
Round 9 : Marines were so busy knifing each other they let the skulk rush kill them./me rolls eyes.Naturally they blamed the comm.
Round 10 : A lamer clan took up half of the marine spots and did nothing but sit in base and boast about how "lewt" they were and how they had "coolz cheatz".They also kept trying to knife the skulks that were attacking the base and kept crying "omg so-and-so h4x!!!!".You get the picture.
Round 11 : 2 NSPlayers on opposite teams(one on marines one on aliens) refused to use teamchat.They kept blurting out whatever their team was doing at the particular time,asking for orders,etc,etc.Their teammates tried to get them to use teamchat,even going so far as to do step-by-step describations,but they just kept repeating "I no understand".Aliens couldnt ambush marines because their locations were repeatedly broadcasted,and marines couldnt build RTs because their locations and descriptions were repeatedly broadcasted.Aliens eventually won because its much harder for marines to take down RTs than for aliens.
I am fething tired of people sabotaging games like this.Some have the most ABSURD reasons :
-Its only a game!
-Because i want to
-And god came down from above and commanded me to blah blah blah
-Because everyone else other than me sucks!i am elite!OMG ph33r me!!!!
-Because i want to **** you off
NS is getting popular.And you know what this does to lamers.Draws them like bees to honey.Im starting to not like NS because of the very simple fact...if i cant play the game properly due to lamers,why should i try and wastet ime on it?
Oh yes and if you read through the 11 examples i listed above you will notice one very very very interesting fact :
Most of the lamers were either n00bs(newbies dont do this,they just want to learn how to play the game,NOT **** people off)or pretending to be newbies so that people would "excuse their behavior".Admins and server owners....please take note of this.Players,also,please take note of this.

sure if all the rushes succed, ut this happens more on custom maps, I never saw this happen on a normal map since they are big and if marines could walk till viaduct and stuff like that it means some of the rounds are not ultra short...
@Dizzy : You dont read very well do you?A few of them were due to being in the wrong team....yes.....majority were a small group of individuals **** people off.Also yes,i can aim.In fact the 12th round of NS i had was FINALLY a proper game,in that 12th round i got numerous kills.This is impossible if i cannot aim.And is there something wrong with me being unable to fight off 6 skulks by myself?

In terms of the first post, did your team ever try to help the newbies and tell them how to do somethnig right, or did you just waste time yelling and screaming at them for their mistake? I think there is a differernce then being a newbie and messing up then being one of the saboteurs I just described.
I've had excellent luck in finding some good servers:
The -={DG}=- Clan runs a pretty tight ship. So does the FoTR (? - can't remember if that name is right) clan. And to lesser degree the Mayberry games server (custom maps - weeds out the lamers pretty quick).
Just look for a good bunch who regularly play on the same server, get in there and play your game (sounds like you'd make a good addition to any team), and make some freinds there. Keep showing your face there again and again, and pretty soon, when a sabteur shows up, the admins and other players there will be much more willing to listen to you and help out. The trick is admin-on-duty.
Sorry about your bad experience, swing -={DG}=- sometime, we'll give ya a good game.

Get the whole team to hide in a vent somewhere and hold off anything that comes. Or get everyone to spawn outside the map if possible. If someone is going to get screwed, it might as well be the other team right?
Relocation isnt a good strategy in itself, and then do it when you only have 1 marine there...
She's really unforgiving to newer players... but currently whenever I comm (we're both from singapore, though I play solely on pagn), my marines listen to me. So... it's not our server ^^
P.S tell us the yucky server... 'omg so & so h4x!!!!!'. lmao

2. IF YOU ARE A NEW PLAYER, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE
COMMAND CHAIR, OR EVOLVE TO GORGE. Only do so
if you are familiar with the game. If you're not new
to the game, but new to Commander or Gorge,
ask for help.
3. GORGES: ASK the team which structure to place first.
First gorge MUST be asked if you want to evolve to gorge.
4. Good sportsmanship and a gentleman's spirit
ought to be preserved throughout.
try and join servers that have similar guidelines ;D

i do hear you; there is an influx of people who don't love the game like we do. we are just gonna have to learn to weather the storm. pick a server with some regular faces and some good admins on it, and stick to it.
