she's having trouble exporting it from Gmax (the devil program)... i'm atempting to help her, but if anyone else wants to step up, go for it...

damn gmax. they told me it was good to make models but how the hell is it good if you cant export it to be a model <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'> anywhos, I may be set back a few days or weeks as i also have a whole pile of art requests to do,, im getting paid for them, so i better get em done. worst thing is my scanner broke, so i gota wiat for 2 days to get another one. then when i get maya, i should be able to export models from it.. does anyone know if you can export model files from maya? i just want to make sure...

i would think that you can export stuff in maya
all 3d/drafting programs i have used could export in various readily recognizable formats

I tried to earlier today while the cute lil thing was building a resource tower.. I ran up and right away this rabid dog jumps out of no where and starts to attack me!!! luckily I killed it with my trusty machine gun.. but the noise must have scared off fatty.. so I ran after him to commence the hugging only to run into a wall of stickyness and him laughing as he spit me to death :'(

no the updated cute gorge isnt finished, give me about 3-4 weeks.. its not easy trying to *perfect* every animation and modelling. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> theres alot to do. but when its finished I guarentee itll be the final official CUTE gorge <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

But thye're so cute nature doesnt want them dead!

All that is needed is a program to set what model everything is instead of replacing the files in the directory, since i use a variety of models.

heh someone should reanimate marine crouch idle to be scratching gorges belly(can be done so that ya put marine and gorge in one model,put em in perfect places,and animate the marine to scratch the cute gorges belly,delete gorge from model,export the marine and compile it to MDL with skins and anim)=).
