But yes... come on over and signup for CAL-NS and join in on the fun. Right now we're just doing Pre-season until 1.1 comes out. It'll get clans into the routine of things as well as work out the bugs in the system.

CAL has a weird set up for it's leagues and a daft rule that all matches have to played on servers in the US unless the two clans playing agree otherwise. Not gonna attract many European clans with a rule like that.

It is a US league. Europeans have the option to play in it, but have to deal with the time + pings.

It's set up in a similar way to the NFL and NHL, that's weird IMO

As for it being a US league fine but the UK league that's starting up is prepared to cater for clans in the US by providing sutable servers, bit of a shame that CAL cannot be as open minded. Would it be so bad to allow European clans to play home fixtures on their own servers?

LIES!!! just a week ago we played OVF on their server and won!!!!! They said they were in #1 in germany.. but since i have no clue about clans in europe... this is yet to be verified

I'm sure once 1.1 is on, and the american clan scene isn't treding water anymore in preseason, someone will be happy to start a WW2.0 style tournement (Best of Americans Vs. Best Of Europeans in DoD). Of course this didn't stop the whining on either side as there were disputes about pings and such. But as I said, I'm sure once 1.1 is here we'll be willing to do somesort of tournement to settle things.

Actually, I personally believe it would be too much trouble to have a league that was not localized by region. It would just be a nightmare.

Now... Having a different league for different regions is not a bad idea...

Unless I'm mistaken, and I don't want to fan any flames here, there are many european clan and league news sites. At least I think there are. If any of them would like to hold a tournament with all european clans, I would be happy to help them with the scripting that we used for our bracket system at NS Archives in our tournament.

32 European clans compete until one is left. 32 American clans compete until one is left. Then we can have a world cup. I'm all for it and one match with ping issues is MUCH better than having 30 with ping issues.

only prob is lag
if u guys could be so kind az to paste a few ips(of servers that cal usaly use's) so i can ping em
then i might just get my clan to join cal
