no, really
Played a game on EC last night (well, last night subjectively - the other peeps on the server were playing mid afternoon). I saw the marines win 50% of the time! I really did! Most pubbies I've been on, you join the marine side only if you want a whupping.
I saw Duffman (fromt he forums) and experienced good solid teamwork. It was so that I really couldn't predict which way each round would go. I guess that answered any questions on balance I had......
Oh, and I only had one comment about being "British"
So, gg all. esp. to the C*B people for comming both sides so well.
NS as it should be played.

yeah but C*B is a lot of fun to play with.
too bad i dont see em anymore cuz i was perm-banned on nano, probaly for the things i said to get a rise out of us3r, but this isnt the place to discuss that..
what the hell is the khalaat, I remember the scrim where we played as kharaa then as marines, you were there
Another good server (that you have a moderate chance of getting into) is CoFR.
You MAY also get groupie access to the server for map playtests and special events if the EC leaders and the server admin want you to, of course, it all depends...
Other than that, yeah, I enjoy playing on Nano, mainly because it's a 'Strict' server... break the rules or act like a llama and you're outta there.
It's 26 players, the wins seemed to go 50/50 and it was a friendly atmosphere that was equally welcome to veterans and newbies.
If you can't sustain a <150 ping then the server sucks, if you can it's great!

I like nano, std, and cofr too.
the only servers i really play on
Along with all the other [C*B], I frequent nano the most. I also seem to find myself at Hastezone.com v1.04 @ 204.248.53.42:27015. It pings rather well, and the players there have a decent amount of experience. Most of the previously mentioned servers are alright too. {MA}'s server isn't bad either, it's at 66.237.58.110:27015.
These servers stand out among the fifty or so I used to play on because of the outstanding teamwork and commanding skills of the players. Marine win percentage over 50%? sometimes it's even higher.
hmm i played a couple games on cofr, those were the standard "hold cargo and then get hmg/gl/jp and pwn all" games, but it was way better than what ive been subjected to on pubs (the always failsafe turret rush MS, then lockdown 1 hive and turtle)
I usualy play on donce, and red when certain admins arent there.
=D
IP address in Sig. Yes, Nano has peak hour where its almost always full, usually around twilight to night hours on the west coast.

CoFR's admins, at least some of em are pretty rude, and I got permanently banned for publicly chatting about NS bugs...
BTW ifb server sekdar mentioned is actualy called Now We Donce (Donce for short) and has it's own channel on gamesnet (#donce).
As an added incentive MonsE plays there fairly often.
No really, our clan is all filled wit nice people and we don't tolerate exploits of any kind. Llamas aren't welcome either. Come check out Dominant Species Server 1.04. I'll edit in the IP address once I actually get back to my own computer.
atlantic was pinging at about 180-200, not far off what I'd expect if I were in the same continent as the server and on 56k.
In short, I ENJOYED the GAME.
*prays that you're kidding*
i guess the ns community is just too good for me... thats the general impression i get from a lot of the community members.

hmm...thats the kinda attitude that will get you banned from servers. that sarcastic/im good, too bad you dont think so attitude.
i used to play on cofr all the time, til my clan got a server, and they were all great. im sure if they IP banned you, they had a reason.
and whats with the impression you get from community members? i know people post these long, drawn out posts about their amazing strats that nobody ever thought of before or their posts about how to play that take longer to read than the bible. but come on. most of the NS community is great. its a hell of a lot better than the CS community.
come play at our server. id like to see how you play and what you do. maybe then i can see why they banned you
