What Martial Art Would You Like To Learn
At the moment I'm learning Capoeira or as I like to call it Funk Fu. Basically you use your feet rather than your hands to fight, so it involves a lot of running and jumping, then sending your leg out to 'attack' the opponent. I learn it because it's fun to be able to do this kind of stuff, it's not every day you can jump around like a ninja on crack
I would like to learn at one point to learn Wushu Two Sword Style as I enjoy the form immensly.
If not, I could always try to learn Jeet Kun Do (Bruce Lee's style)
Or Wushu Drunken Boxing....

BOOT TO THE HEAD!!
btw capoeira is a joke! My girlfriend was learning it for a while and I invited the guy who taught her class to my my kung-fu class. He was supposed to be this l337 capoeira masta or sumthing but when my teacher chalenged him to a sparring session he got his booty kicked.
I quietly sniggerd to myself and the guy got really embarresed and insited he couldn't stay any longer due to some made up excuse. Anyways my point is it may look cool in tekken but to be honest its no match for eastern martial arts.
"True" masters of any martial art, no matter how different the martial arts are from each other, tend to use very, <i>very</i> similar methods by the time they reach extreme-top levels. Of course, that usually means dedicating your life to it, and I assume that the more masterful you get, the less you see a need to use it anyway. It's just one of those things...
[edit]As for actually answering the question, I wouldn't mind learning Equilibrium's "Gun-Kata" and then jacking my brain into The Matrix for a 72+ hour learning session. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Jeet Kun Do.
He uses Bruce Lee's style
Maybe not flashy, but certainly impressive. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
During one of my occasional trips to the gym, there was one guy doing kickboxing forms with one of those large suspended punching bags (<i>note: I don't know the technical name for any of this stuff</i>).
He was <b>fast</b>. I have very fast reflexes, but I still judge that in the time it'd take for me to get my arm up to block, he'd have been able to kick me in the head twice. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

BOOT TO THE HEAD!
lol, lets see (I got a long list ;D)
I have been taking JKD (jeet kun do, some one mentioned it as Spikes style) for about 3 or 4 years now. However due to college I have not had time (nor acces to it) So I wana gt back into that.
Reasning for JKD is that, well it is every other form of martial arts. I know useful pieces of:
Kali, specificly sayoc (aka eskrima, silat, and some thing else I can't remember) mostly a weapons martial art, though often done open hand (though to some poeple open hand meens the other guy can't see the knives in your hands)
MuyTai(sp?) (aka ThaiBoxing, FN FUN hardest work ot you will ever have)
fencing is included for some of the foot work actualy (and just general practices)
I believe that some of the throws are judo style throws
Wing Chun (very fun, very fluid and just feels good to practice)
oh yah, my schol has a <a href='http://www.progressivemartialarts.com/' target='_blank'>Webpage</a> (yes the head instructer studied under one of Bruce Lee's close friends ;D)
other things I want to learn are:
Capoeira (I will defend it)
and Tai Chi, mostly for the spiritual side of it. I need a leveling tool for my life <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
as for Capoeira, though yes, alot of the times it is simply used as dance/improve movement. If done properly it is a good (not amazing) martial art. Personaly I think that if you tought a Capoeira usser some other stuff they would be fn nasty due to their increased flexibility/str etc
and NavySeals, I seem to remember them ussing the same martial arts style as the iraeli army (Krav Maga It is a very very nasty form, and its focuses are surviving a close enconter with any one, very very very sick. Krav Maga is also often used by police forces (It teaches you what to due with an armed opponent and other good things to know, as well as being able to use a tonfa with their style very simply)
ok, its time for breakfast laters all <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
(yes I am a martial arts nut)
All scottish people are born with it their blood(im scottish). All they need to activate their l337 "F00kj00" skillz is half a bottle of whisky and a pint of tennants lager!
Otherwise Kung Fu or Taekwon-Do.
I'm toying with the thought of starting with Aikido. Awesome for defense, and a very interesting philosphical background.
Yes, Akido seems good too. I tried it out once a while back and quite liked it.
They also get to use knives. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Base, Angle, Leverage!
My current fighting style comes from living a hard life in the ghetto's of central birmingham. Knee to the groin, elbow to the face, kick to the shin, then run. Fast.
I also spent a while learning the basics of Sakaido. I agree with Nem0, it works wonderfully for my typical defence/run-away tactic. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'd like to learn Tai Chi also for the spritual side and some form of weapons fighting, the though of waving a stick around effectively gives me a fuzzy feeling inside.
