I want to learn Fencing and Rennascance Martial Arts (**** swords, two hand swords, that stuff).
How is fencing? I might take it, you reccommend? Is it fast? slow? The only downside that I heard was the cost.
Today at school, we had kendo people come in and demonstrate. It was so funny, these guys were non stop screaming, like they were in kamakazi mode or something, seriouslly, they would not stop!

There are some Awesome Germanic swordmasters who wrote some papers on the sabre, very cool stuff... if I dig it up Ill post the link or at least the names

As for JKD.... I find it....well strange that it has schools open seeing that Bruce closed all the schools shortly before his death. No Im not saying I disbelieve that there are schools, I know of one in the Seattle area myself, but I just find it strange that the founder closed all his schools, then after the founders death someone else opened them up again.
As for myself... There are many martial arts I would like to learn. As many Chinese Gung Fu as possible, Ninjitsu, Hapkido, Aikdo, Judo/Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, swordmanship and JKD and many more that I dont know of at the moment or dont have room for in this post or have even forgotten about. Basically I would like to learn them all.

@Eldritch I had not heard about him closing his schools, interesting
Then again Lee lwad one mysterious **** life (to many ledgends/urban myths mixed in with the actual strange things that happened to him)
But yes, the owner and operater of PMA (the place I study at) traind under one of his good friends.
JKD is a VERY interesting style inthat it really is not a style. He encuraged every one to study many things and take what bests fits them and mold them together. Knowing how to fight in all 3 ranges is a wonderful thing, you will see the mention of 3 ranges in a few martial arts forms, and they realy do exist (generaly long(kicking/one way of using a weapon), short(punching another way of using your wep) and close(yes, yes most fights do end up on the ground)
on of my favorite things to do is think about different styles against each other. Think about the stengths and weaknesses of each, and see where they fit.
Oh and there is one other form that I REALLY want to learn
WIRE-FU (yes, stunt man martial arts) it is so fn fun to watch (romeo must die is a great one for recent movies) <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

The art of manipulating Ki (energy)
Sick stuff if mastered, makes DBZ seem more real when you see an old **** guy fling some heavy wight across a 30 yard span with his pinkey.
