<div class="IPBDescription">...or people gotta communicate more!</div> After a couple of good games on a server just now, we do a round as aliens again. Nobody has voice comm, nobody is typing any messages but me and maybe two other people. QUIETEST GAME I"VE EVER PLAYED. Nobody is attacking anything, we had 4 gorges at one point. And marines are just owning us. They have two hives but we have every other res point... I had to quit cuz the aliens just sat there. No organization of groups. Nothing.
Me and one other guy kept telling them to rush a certain hive and this and that, but no way. Out of 12 people only 1 or 2 would attack at once. Horrible teamwork! All skulks just randomly wandering around by themselves most of the time. I'd swear I was playing with bots, except they didn't move "bot-like" (getting stuck here and there, or moving like robots). I was getting real cranky at the end, and tried my best not insult them, cuz I know damn well that would get me nowhere fast. But it's frusterating when you don't get any response or acknowledgement. <sigh> <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

I've made my descision though.     I just learn to type faster.

    Plus, I tend to mute ppl a lot. I can't stand those Mickey Mouse 13 yr old voices. Make my ears bleed.

    Voicecomm did have the misfortune to spawn people playing an 8 bit sample of Benny Hill music constantly, so it's not all good.

    Voice comm is good, except for a) when it sounds like the player has a ball gag in his mouth b) people are just using it to annoy everyone, and c) when people just can't stop talking. I was in a game where it seemed like the entire marine team was talking non stop, while I'm crouched in a corner trying to listen out for approaching skulks. The best one was where another guy joined the game, and proceeded to constantly spew the following (and similar gems).

    "What's this game about then?"
    "I just got this, what do I do?"
    "Where do I get ammo?"
    "This gun is ****, how do I get another one?"
    "How do I build?"
    "What's this thing?"
    "What's this thing?"
    "What's this thing?"
    "How do I build?"
    "This mod sucks"
    "I killed a flying thing!"
    "What was that noise?"
    "What's that?"
    "This sucks"
    "Where are you?"
    "How do I get armor?"
    "I picked up a gun that doesn't shoot wtf?"
    "No, I want to try the commander thing"
    "It looked like command and conquer!"
