2: comms that build bases outside of the bridge in whatever that map is called its not funny its not skills or something camping back out there and blocking the phasegate so that noone can get through really lame

N00b things what I have done:
My first game was as an alien (wanted to go marine, but there you go <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> ). So when I started as a marine, I figured that you could buy your own weapons, like the aliens 'buy' their classes. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out where the 'buy' command was on the armory!
And although I don't consider it n00bish, there was the time I built sensory first! God, the tonge-lashing I got for that! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Newbie things I have done: My first game - I spawned in (what I now realize was) Feedwater hive. I couldn't see anyone else. I kept going through the water to Refinery and wondering why there was this thing that kept shooting me. After getting lost again and again. Finally, I decided to go read the instructions. That helped a lot.
I also tried being a commander on a map that I had never played first person. I what somewhat lucky to have players helping me out. Of course, we lost badly.
My best early game commanding there was one guy, [TMM]Darwin, who helped me out the whole time. He was awesome. I learned how to command that game, even though we lost.
My greatest thrill - A couple of days ago that same guy invited me to join [TMM] - If that doesn't show you that a n00b can learn, I don't know what does.
I got into an argument with a player over whether donating res as a kharaa was an exploit, and so he kicked and banned me (only then did I realise he was an admin) because I wouldnt hit F4 (I will NOT cheat. Taking advantage of an exploit is the same as cheating. Just coz you CAN take steroids to win a race does not make it just an exploit, it is a cheat...). I feel mighty vindicated by the comments in the 1.04 patch...
He had also kicked me (randomly) several days before. I checked the log to see why I was kicked (because I wanted to know what I did wrong) and one of his mates was trying to join the server... This is kinda understandable, but still annoying...

My favorite idiot was this TRUE h4x0r named An Experienced Newbie. Playing on the Alien side, he had the looks AND capabilities of a Marine, so he could shoot LMG's and Pistols as well as use Jetpacks. So he repeatedly makes runs on our base and hes doing a pretty nasty job until we get Motion Tracking set up. Eventually we were getting enough res that the Commander just put up a wall of Turrets that stopped him every time. I thought it spoke well of the NS community however, that members from BOTH teams where yelling at him and insulting him.
I don't like idiots like that I can't stand hearing them complain about me cheating. When I wasn't it gets annoying and a cheater like hoju2 encountered sounds even worse then any of ones I have seen in SN so far.
my fav stuid marines waw when the entire marine team was around there armory i walked in chuckled they kept getting ammo i danced around them for a while and then killed them all it was preety funny
