im back with just 1 more shot :)
sorry about the lack of updates, been really bogged down atm and havent had alot of mapping time, just thought i would post another pic. plz give opinions, on lighting and texturing mainly. thx.

Marine spawn is no longer landing bay, it is now 'Shift Exchange', the landing bay, in the storyline, is above the 'Shift Exchange' and obviously shift exchange is kind of a reception where workers would have swapped shifts.

This is a pic of the corridor leading to 'Shift Exchange (Marine Spawn)':

    /me nods

Yeah, looks a lot like nothing, but, just one thing, the nos_grate2 on the floor is not aligned, you should rotate it 90? (well, if you like it that way ignore this )

Edit: ah, well, about the lighting, I think you should add some light_spots to add some atmophere, it looks dull right now, but that's just my opinion

Right I like it, just it looks particularily "Similar" (not a bad thing though) to the sequel / follow up to ns_nothing corridor in the early stages.

(Hear are 2 clips which look remotely like the sequel to nothing. I hope the author does not mind me posting these, as they are a good example to all, and especially on use of textures and vertex manipulation)

(i think i stated that above, as the auuthor imo has done a great job. and these pictures i have not seen on the forum so i decided that the author may not mind as they are good examples of the ns_nothing sequel:D)

EDIT - You see I keep map shots on my pc, examples of inspiration and for this type of use, example use. EDIT

    What are the r_speeds?
  • RevenantRevenant Join Date: 2003-01-13 Member: 12249Members
I will state this again for the fool hardy

THAT is the sequel to NS_NOTHING. The author posted them on the 5th October 2002. I posted these as an example for SYSTEM to show that hes on the right lines, and more detail can be added. My estimate is 500 r_speeds on both.
