Scanned a Reaper Leviathan without using a stasis field.
It's not that hard. I've scanned most of the sea life and I've never even built a stasis gun.
Agreed, the wildlife becomes much less threatening once you learn the mechanics.
My standard MO for dealing with anything Crab Squid or smaller is to grapple hook on with the G.Admiral Prawn and ram the drill onto it.
This works less well on reapers and ghost leviathans. Thread relevent.
