At the place where the gun should be, there is just badly lit caves and empty space. Screenshots attached.
I have read before that apparently clearing your cache worked for many people, but it did not work for me. I downloaded the game in the Epic games launcher, and I tried deleting the cache 2 times: the first time I deleted every file in the directory
\Epic Games\Subnautica\SNUnmanagedData\Build18\CellsCache, but that didnt work.
The second time I tried deleting every file in
\Epic Games\Subnautica\SNUnmanagedData\Build18\CompiledOctreesCache, but that didn't do anything either. Even after I redownloaded it, nothing happened.
This really sucks because I just spent 40 hours completing the game up to the point of getting cured, but now I can't deactivate the gun to not get shot down when flying away in the rocket.

I have made another post regarding the floating island being empty, where I stated more problems I had with this game and when exactly I think it got like this.

Clear the cache there, and it should work
1: I deleted every file in CellsCache. This did not work, and the files also did not reappear.
2: I deleted every file in slot0000 except for the Folder CellsCache itself, a folder called timecapsules, and the files gameinfo.json, global-objects.bin, scene-objects.bin and screenshot.jpg. Nothing happened.
Also, I forgot to mention that the second files I deleted also did not reappear
EDIT: No, looks like he just used cheats for the ingredients. Can you go back to the incubator and see if you can use it again?
EDIT: I want to add that I was right, many many giant coral tubes were there after clearing the cache that definitely werent there before, and also sandstone outcrops that I 100% didnt break (e.G. those in the caves in the underground volcano) appeared again. They disappeared probably after my save got corrupted.
