Hi all, I have Subnautica on steam, but I would also like to have it available on ARC as there are times that I use ARC alot, is there a way to copy my Steam Subnautica game over that arc will recognize it without rebuying it?

Also if I do manage to get this done will the two act as one game or two seperate ones. ARC Quests is why I am interested in this. Just in case it comes back, anyway

Thanks.

I'm don't think you can redeem a key twice. You've bought it on the Arc store and redeemed that key on Steam? My guess is, after you've redeemed it on Steam, the game is now linked to the Steam platform in terms of achievements, trading cards, Steam market and profile/gaming information etc... So you probably can't re-redeem it on the Arc platform after activating it on Steam.

But hey, I'm not familiar with this alternative platform stuff. But this would seem logical, right?

However there is this page talking about redeeming a Steam key, maybe you can use your Steam key once more? Although I highly doubt it as it would probably pop up with something along the lines of "this key has already been redeemed" or something, doesn't hurt to try though :)

Check if Arc has a way to create a non-Arc shortcut, I know Steam can do this. (So you can launch a game from another platform from Arc like you can with Steam).

Had you activated it on ARC, there is a way to create a shortcut in Steam, which still launches the ARC launcher access the game.
Steam>Add a Game>Add a Non-Steam Game>Pick your game or launcher and rename as necessary (This is for future reference, though it doesn't solve your problem)

I have never heard of a way to swap keys from Steam to another platform, or vice versa, and do not think it possible without going through a hassle of convincing both companies to put the time and effort to coordinate the switch. (with no guarantee it would happen even if one side agreed) It may be possible ARC has a similar solution to what I or 0x6A7232 mentioned, so I recommend looking into that.
