It'd be cool if the Seamoth could launch flares to distract predators

or to give yourself some temporary lighting while exploring something

I'd suggest that giving the seamoth 1 flare converts it into 3 smaller 'flarettes', which shoot out when you deem necessary

    seamoth already has headlights for illumination in the dark and to keep predators off just equip torpedoes and/or the electric shock upgrade

    I was thinking of more defensive stuff tho

    both of those work great but you need to know where your enemy is to use em, with flare you can run away with a better chance of not dying : D

    Agreed, and you could also use it for lighting (no one seems to use the regular Flares, I guess no one knows they distract predators (but do they actually? Never tried it myself!)
