is the 1.0 release build 59783?

I noticed after their "red button" launch subnautica updated, but the update was only 5.4 mb, and instead of it displaying 1.0 I'm seeing 59783 on the main menu screen in the upper right.

Given the absolute mess the livestream has been thus far bug wise, I figured I should ask if this is indeed 1.0 before beginning to play given I'd rather not have to restart a day or three down the road for the latest build?

    I was checking the game with the same 59783. It says the build date of the game is January 22nd so it might be. I don't know for sure. Edit: After checking previous footage, after the 5mb update, the game version is 59783. Pre-patch it was 59782

    Found a note suggesting it may be necessary to switch from experimental to official to get the full release today. Please try that.

    I did switch from experimental and it did download another little patch, but the version stayed 59783. There's nothing in Steam or the game to say it's Early Access anymore, though, and it plays beautifully.

    Update: However, it still crashes if I alt-tab out of it for too long.

    I tried to build the plateform in experimental, it didn't work. I swapped to non-experimental (6.5MB update) and I was able to build it.

    @Max actually mentioned it on the stream that the "v1.0" update was in fact just the unlocking of the rocket build scripts, which was just worth a couple of megabytes, instead of the expected GIGABYTES :tongue:

    Okay so v59783 is version 1, then what is the experimental version?

    Public Build: 59783
    Experimental Build: 59786

    Those build numbers above are internal build numbers, not full release build numbers.

    I dunno, changes and checkins is stuck on 59781 (I think it's broke, or they stopped using it for a bit).
