Plants on the Cyclops and Lagging

So I've always kitted out my Cyclops bridge with Plant Pots and food plants. Someplace recently I read somewhere that putting plants on the Cyclops causes lag. I'd never had lag happen from that.

Finally got to the Floating Isle to stock up with plants. And does it ever lag.

Cleared the cache. Turned down my graphics Quality from Recommended to Minimum and the Water quality from Maximum to Medium. And. It. Still. Lags.

Then I cleared my cache a second time, after turning down the quality to the minimum settings. That seemed to have reduced the lag. But I probably can't touch the graphics settings.

Anyone have any more about this? Any other way to deal with the lag? Does putting the plants someplace particular on the Cyclops reduce the lag?

Could try setting graphics back to recommended. Sometimes Minimum runs worse on unoptimized games IIRC (worth a shot anyways).

I turned Quality back to Recommending and Water quality back to High and didn't get the lag. I don't know what caused it before, but it started exactly when I put plants on the bridge of the Cyclops. But is now gone.

I seem to get lags, when i have a Cyclops with some planters right next to a base. If I walk away from the sub a little (about 20m), the lag vanishes. There seems to be a problem, while the game keeps both Cyclops and a base rendered.

I think the game technically treats the Cyclops as a base that can move. Not sure, but I think it does.

It sort of does, because if you die you spawn in your cyclops.

never any more than usual on my end even in the X1 version whether or not i planted anything inside the cyclops. keep in mind even PC version is not excactly stable even with high specs. kinda see that time to time when youtubers play it
