Spotlight power consumption?

Hello, I've made a base in the Grassy Plateaus, but I'm running into some power issues - I have two bioreactors currently, but the power level flickers quite badly. The only active power consumer I seem to have is 2 spotlights, so I can only assume that they are the source of my power issue, but the wiki says they only consume 0.1p/s; I can't tell whether the spotlights are the issue. Other power consumers I have are a fabricator, modification station and battery charger, but I still have power issues when none of them are running. Any help would be appreciated.

True, but not a renewable resource like bio, thermal or solar. Here's a question about spotlights do they auto-turn off/on? If they don't then that's a function that could be used depending on where you build a base. Of course the on and off thing isn't a viable thing if you build your base in a cave but in an area that has the natural day and night cycle it would be useful. It'd be even better if the developers finished up the base capacitor for energy storage.
It'd make sense to me if that were the case, they could make spotlights work with a reversed-logic of Solar Panels so the lights only come on during the daytime. As far as building inside a cave, they could set it so they always stay on below a certain depth or if the ambient light is below a certain value.
My only concern is the power consumption. Certain appliances don't make sense to me as they stand now. The Alien Containment requires water purification and food distribution, as well as monitoring the oxygen levels to keep the fish alive, yet it doesn't take much power to run. However the Water Purifcation machine, despite splitting sea water at the molecular level to make water and salt, requires far more power to run than even the Alien Containment or the Spotlight need to run. With the WP machine only needing 2 Titanium to make (where's the electronics for the actual water treatment?) it shoudn't need that much power to run, much less take so much durability from your base.
One thing the devs won't add to the game is hunger for fishes, which I am glad for.
Alien Containment wouldn't require water purification since the creatures need the same environment as you found them. So it is only necessary to pump in and out the water to keep it fresh. Of course, each Biome would technically need its own Alien Containment due to the needs of the creatures in the Safe Shallows are not the same as the creatures in the Deep Grand Reef or Active Lava Zone Biomes. Most Biomes should have the same concentration of minerals in their water due to how each of the Biomes are connected. The concentration of minerals in the Deep Grand Reef should be about the same as the concentration of minerals in the Safe Shallows. The Inactive Lava Zone and Active Lava Zone should have a higher concentration of minerals due to the lava bringing up more minerals to the Biome and much warmer than 10 to 25 degrees Celsius that most of the Biomes exist at, but there is a problem with being too realistic in a game. So we can assume that the majority of creatures can exist in water outside the base to make it easier on the devs.
As far as the Water Purification machine affecting the durability of the base, it is a concern. You are replacing a structural wall with electronics and intake screen for the water to go through so the hull integrity will suffer as a result. Considering the size of the machine and its power requirements, it looks like the Water Purification machine boils and condenses the water. A method being looked at is Aquaporins which are cellular structures that bring in water through the cell membrane. Essentially it is a microscopic tunnel that is small enough to bring in water and block out salt. Using biomimicry or the process of imitating nature to solve a human problem, we can create a screen of a bunch of microscopic channels that lets water through, but salt and other ions out to solve the water crisis in Third World countries without using up a ton of power. However, you are right that a Water Purification machine needs more than just 2 Titanium.
