it would be cool to have the option to tame and ride or control the beasts of the ocean , now while there should be limits like the emperor and dragon adding more domestically friendly animals would good imagine riding a leviathan up and down through the water and stuff
or having vicious reapers or even warper security circle and guard your home from other passing creatures and the could hunt and bring back meat. Now investment should be made to actually do this you can't just willy nilly make the next dangerous creature love you and depend on you to feed (emphasis on this)

I don't. If you went to to africa you wouldn't ride a wild elephant or tame a lion or hippo.
There is no need to ride a reaper or dragon.

But this is a game, we do this for entertainment, and it would entertain me if I could ride a fric'n reaper leviathan

I actually made a huge post of ideas on how this could work (although riding them not so much since we already have nice submarines that provide us with life sustaining oxygen. I recently updated it to include the effects of Carar on organisms and interacting with them as well. I like to call it... being a <a href="http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/146974/new-game-mechanic-for-survival-fish-whisperer#latest">Fish Wisperer</a>
