Just wondering if I would be able to play this game.

Hi, I will be getting a new computer for Christmas and I am paying for it with my own money. I do not want to buy something that I can not play fun games on though.
These are my specs for the computer that I will be getting if I can play this game:
Intel Core i3-6100
EVGA GTX 1060
Gigabyte H110M-A
8GB Crucial Ballistix
1TB WD Blue
500W EVGA PSU
I am really hoping that this PC build will be able to play this game on high settings with almost or hopefully over 60FPS. I believe that if there is a problem it will be with the CPU, but then again I don't know much about PC's since I have had macs my whole life. Thanks so much!

My best guess is you should be able to get around 40-60 fps most of the time but expect that to drop severely whenever the game tries to load things.
On the bright side there's rumors going around that the next update is addressing some optimization issues so things will hopefully get better soon.
That is a nice CPU, absolutely not a true 2500K successor, due to unable to overclock (mine runs at 4.7Ghz) and just two hardware cores. But a nice one just the same! Read something about this particular CPU being the best value budget iCore out there right now
I'd go for 16Gb (2x8) though +€30/€50 usually... But that's just me, I don't like running out of memory when running all sorts of video editing/photo editing and other stuff, while gaming even!
The rest I cannot comment on, haven't done the proper research. I'll let someone else handle the GTX1060 talk I assume it goes a little something like this: GTX9xx gaming series, older generation, cheaper, faster, more bang for buck?
Also I'm sketchy on that 500watt powersupply, seems a bit on the light side...
Contribute, go!
EDIT: Swapped the Rosewill FBM-05 with Rosewill Galaxy-03 as the 03 is known compatible with the 1060 card and the FBM is unknown whether it fits or not.

It's a beast. It's not the best, (all hardware gets old quick) but it's a beast. You're quite right about it being "bang for bucks"... there are far better options but the price is very fair.
Subnautica runs perfectly well on my R9 255 from 3 years ago (I need an upgrade) so the 1060 should be absolutely wonderful.
Haha, I play a lot of strategy or turn based games, slow paced thoughtful games, and I always play in good old windowed 1280x1024 so I can watch Youtube or films on the other side of the screen.
I keep meaning to replace my busted second monitor but to be honest I'm happy this way.
This is now a battle-stations thread!
Total price is $625, so you should be able to snap this up shortly.

Thermaltake VERSA H15 Micro ATX Mini Tower Gaming Computer Case
If you open the parts list I put out, you can click "Edit this part list" in the upper right of the list, and change it, and when you get it the way you want, you can create an account and save your build ('Save As', above 'edit this list'. Then you can also have multiple builds for like "as cheap as possible", "my current rig", "my dream build", "Tony's build" etc etc. You can also set up price alerts etc.
Accessing your lists is up at the top of the page nav bar, between "log out" and country selection. You can also edit your profile (like to tell it to use smile.amazon instead of regular amazon links) by clicking your user name.
You can also view other users' builds, which is cool.
EDIT: Oh, hey, if you're fussy about having a 2.5" SSD in a 3.5" slot, there's an adapter here for like $7
I forgot. You can totally get that build right now, and start using it. How? Don't buy the graphics card yet. The CPU comes with an Intel HD 530 graphics card build in to it, and that motherboard has HDMI out, so you're golden. When you get the money saved up, snag the graphics card (might be cheaper then) and install it.
I'm playing Subnautica right now on the HD 530, and it works fine.
Side note: you need thermal paste. I recommend Arctic Silver, you can get some one eBay here for like $7. Put on a tiny drop, and spread it evenly. You should be able to almost read the letters on the CPU through the layer when you're done.
Also: One thing the Galaxy-03 case had that the Versa does not: a 2.5" bay (see prev post's edit about adapter). BUT, the Versa looks to have better airflow, so I'd go with the Versa.
So. Since you've got extra money if you don't buy the graphics card right away, you COULD upgrade the CPU to an i5-6600, putting you at $594.18 ( list ). Adding 2x8=16GB Ripjaws V DDR-3200 memory puts you at $629.18 (basically matching my current rig in specs) ( list ).
I can still play around with this guy's save here, for example, and if you download that and go to his main base, you'll see he has terraforming all over and many, many base parts. So it's usually fine.
Also a personal thing. Don't be cheap with your PSU, yes EVGA is rock solid choice but why such a low one? Add things here and there add another card later... blah blah blah... and poof not enough juice. As matter of fact buy an evga mobo as well one that will last.
My rig is 6 years old... I can still play most things that aren't horridly made. Like Witcher 3 which is nice and smooth...even a turd like new DXMD runs on high preset and sits at 30-40 fps despite my gpu being a few generation behinds the minimum requirement(sadly all old gpus ave the exact same issue with conversations randomly crashing gpu itself).
Eh. That used to be the case. Both GPUs and CPUs have gotten way more efficient, you basically only need more wattage if you are doing multiple GPUs. I updated the build specs for an example, look at this - i7-6700K 4.0GHz, 3x 7200 RPM HDDs + one 4 TB SSD, 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM, and a GTX 1080 Sea Hawk @ 1.71GHz, and it only uses 445W:
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core OEM/Tray Processor ($336.88 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X31 69.5 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($68.79 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($53.88 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum Blackout 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($299.99 @ Corsair)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 4TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($1374.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Gold 8TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($456.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Western Digital Gold 8TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($456.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Western Digital Gold 8TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($456.99 @ SuperBiiz)
