[Crash] Crashing near Mountain Island [v.40062 Oct-2016]

Experienced a couple crashes while approaching the Mountain Island - otherwise known as the "Energy Source" for the precursor gun. Also experiencing heavy lag in many areas, and poor framerate. As far as I know, Windows 10 is up-to-date as well as the video drivers. Crash folder reads: 2016-12-07_201852. From what I've been reading in the forums, this problem looks relatively common as of recently.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that upon clicking "Exit" to quit the game correctly, it ends up crashing with no crash report folder - program basically becomes un-responsive.

SInce the files of the Precursor gun and the commands are in the game, but not avaliable, many people are having some troubles with the mountain island. ATM there is no solution more than going as far as you can away from the island. you can gather the minerals that u need from other places.
