Grammar Satiation

As of late, we members of the Subnautica forum have been in many heated debates about the correct usage of grammar. These arguments, I feel, have had quite a detrimental effect on the forum. I see arguments ranging anywhere from Borealis Rising to the Subnautica Gubernatorial debate. Now, I don't know about you guys, but I would like it to stop, and we can get back to Subnautica. So I created this thread, just to end the grammar naziation (can someone please tell the plural for grammar nazi.) For those of you who don't know, Satiation is the psychological effect of where a person(s) repeats a bad or unwanted habit for a period of time, until they slowly lose the desire to do it altogether.
So, go crazy. Say what is and isn't appropriate grammar-wise. But please, try to be as kind to others as humanly possible, we don't want @Insane snipping comments left and right. When you are through, abandon this thread and let it sink, so that we may get along again, and remember why we all signed up to this forum in the first place.
It's almost Subnautica's second birthday, let's not ring it in with these petty arguments, but with happiness and respect for this game and what is to become of it next.

But that's just me...the kind of person who loves to have everything in order if he can help it. It's never personal.
Things I find annoying: people who drive like idiots and cause accidents. People who intimidate and abuse other folks. People who steal stuff. People who take advantage of others. Everything else... just don't care enough. Oh, well, except for maybe micro transactions. Those annoy me a lot too.
I get that forums are supposed to be somewhat orderly, and on topic, and this forum IS fairly laid back, but I hate hall monitors! I also don't like that posts (not here necessarily!) have to read like instruction manuals. So things can go a little off topic, some folks can be snarky, but short of spam, or just random nonsense, I can't see what it matters. It's not like we're holding up the cure for cancer because a scientist couldn't sort out the info or context.
I like to see things slide off a bit. Shows folks are humans, and makes it easier to get to know folks beyond agrees/awesomes. But hey, that's just me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have games to play!
...I'm sorry, you were saying?

He is just a convenient example rather then a specific target, being a kid and claiming his teachers are fine with that is just validating my point.
If after 10 second of looking at text you feel like your brain cells are committing suicide... it should NOT be ignored just because he may have fragile ego that can't deal with comments/criticism/what ever else and the majority of the world should NOT be forced to sit in silence because of that. Stop with the damn carebear attitude... it only breeds stupidity and ignorance while dragging an average human intelligence below that of a doorknob. Doorknobs have a function and they perform it... some people in this day and age fail to reach even that point without a youtube guide on how to use a door.
Let us all just chill, and enjoy the endless depths of the ocean. Relax. Let the crushing weight of the water above your head calm you. Think not of harsh words. Think of the creepvines tangled around your limbs. Think not of English grammar. Think of that serpentine shadow in the distance, swimming over the dunes, getting closer. Think not of capitalization. Think of that beautiful cr-e-a-t--u--r---e.
Am I missing something, did something happen in another thread I wasn't part of?
In my opinion, nobody was outright mean to the caps guy in the thread about PETA, nor was he even defensive or upset, or even bothered in the slightest by the criticism aimed at him. Julian acted nothing but maturely and above-it-all.
@Julian1337331nailuJ if you are indeed a 10 year old Subnautican like you claim to be, I salute you for acting admirably. You're far more mature, and a much better typer, than I was at that age.
It's interesting to note that nobody asked to be defended, either, but people felt strongly enough that they felt they should defend him regardless.
However, in that particular thread, I really felt that people on both sides were pretty respectful (bar one post which flirted with being insulting) but were, ultimately, critical but fair or defensive but fair. It lead to a very interesting discussion on "why people care" and then "why do we consider certain grammar "correct?""
For me that thread was the best thing to happen to these forums in a long time. This place has felt stale with no updates or note-worthy content seen in ages.
I always love checking the forum while I'm going about my day, and it was really refreshing to have a bit more of a high-brow discussion here and get to know other members a little better.
Jawohl, mein Fuhrer!
Not sure if posting a YouTube link is allowed here or not, but Brian Regan does a funny standup bit about that. Look it up!
Take luck!
