Question about build

My build in the main menu says october. But the PRAWN isn't in my save game. I can't update it either. I do have all the big mining nodes lying around and they big rays in the Lost River zone.
Is my save game screwed?

When you say the PRAWN isn't in the game, you mean it isn't in your blueprint inventory, or the PRAWN pieces aren't in the world like they're supposed to be?

PRAWN blueprints can be scanned from pieces found in

the Aurora's PRAWN bay

Start new saves. Things wind up in save files, and only a fresh save every few updates is going to see them.

The Aurora prawn bay is empty. I guess my save is screwed. Time to start a new one I guess.

Try the "unlock exosuit" command and see if that adds it.
