Bones Update - Experimental

I stopped playing the game in the lost river before the bones update. When I heard it was updated, I began playing it again, only to realize it's not actually updated. I don't have any of the new content mentioned. Even when I looked up the coordinates for the base, it wasn't there.
What's going on?

Probably your save isn't loading it correctly.

    You could try this:

If you guys want, you can try:

    1) Move the two cache folders, CellsCache and CompiledOctreesCache in your slot000x folder to another folder, say, \bkdisabled

    2) Create a new saved game of the same type you are in (not sure if it has to be the same type but hey)

    3) Move the two folders from that saved game folder (the new one you just created) to the saved game folder you are trying to rescue.

    4) Attempt loading. Your terrain will be reset, so expect areas in your bases to have dirt etc in them, deconstruct and re-build to fix (staring from the inside lockers, solar panels, etc!)

EDIT: updated names of folders. Your saved game folder is Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\SNAppData\SavedGames\slot000x

That did it! I haven't been back to my base yet, but hopefully it's not too messed up. I spent a lot of time working on it.

Apparently you can just move those two folders out to \bkdisabled and then the game will re-create them without having to manually copy them from a new saved game, so that makes it a bit easier for future reference.
