Why are there so many huge skeletons in the lost river???

Ok so recently the devs have added many more skeletons into the lost river, there's the titan (the huge one) and there will be a reaper leviathan skull and also a sea dragon.
I have a theory on why they all died there: So big creatures like leviathans have long lifespans, and they have to die of natural causes somehow sometime right? My thought is that all leviathans have an instinct to go to the lost river when they are sick or about to die. (it would be like how birds just know when to migrate and how trees just know when to lose their leaves) When the old or sick leviathan got to the old river they might be in pain, so what they would do would be settle down in the brine. The brine kind of would act like morphine to leviathans and it would make them feel like they are not in pain anymore. The brine would also kill them though, but they would have a peaceful and non pain death.
