Dear unknown worlds, I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me here. we want SubNautica on ps4 I understand your busy working on Xbox but I think most of your fan base is on ps4. If you do ever put it on ps4 can you make sure its not buggy like last time on Xbox. Also could you please make the ps4 version at least half way to the pc version

if you agree click agree and like. (:

The reason that we're on XBox One and not PS4 right now is that PS4 has no early access program to speak of.

A PS4 version is indeed on the roadmap, but do bear in mind that everything on there is subject to change. The likelihood of a PS4 version is subject in part to how well the XB1 version does.

Yea its the same with Ark Survival Evolved. There was a plan for it to be on the PS4 but Sony declined it till it is completely done. I play subnautica and Ark on Xbox but its not fair that sony does this to you guys

But it's a similar situation, therefore it makes sense to discuss.

I was looking forward to SN on PS4 until one of the devs said they weren't looking at PSVR due to not having a developer's kit version to work with.

Sony seems to just be dropping the ball since microsoft passed it to them. I own all 3 consoles this gen, but not having a preview program or early access on psn is a shame. Especially when you consider how bland most AAA games are now, and how innovative indies are.

I've completely abandoned playing the game on xbox one and bought it on pc as well now..

The xbox port is frustratingly bad and underwhelming!!

Absolutely LOVED IT! until I got out of the starting areas.. between the world not rendering quickly enough or at all mind you, and the constant crashes which lead to you being locked out of the game until you do a hard reset..

    I had enough lol..

Yes I am fully aware it's a preview game and for the most part they are at the mercy of Microsofts certifications etc.

PC is a MUCH better play! And the simple fact is I can actually explore and build a base bigger then 3 multi purpose rooms without the game hating me.. and the seafloor doesn't reclaim my base once I leave the area..

You guys should be happy it's not on ps4 as of yet.. that way when you do get it, it's a fully polished wonder!

I'd like to see it on the PS4 as well, though only for my youngest brother's benefit. He has a PS4 but can't afford a decent PC to run this game. But I'm find with any port as long as it's done by Unknown Worlds Entertainment themselves.

Had a nightmare about the old '80s company called Tiertex trying to get permission to port the game once (Tiertex is a company that was notorious back in the '80s for porting arcade games onto microcomputers... and VERY bad ports at)...

I'm pretty sure the devs will never let anyone mess with their creation though, so that nightmare won't come back. :)

Lol I didn't say my PC runs it perfectly... it's still a minor mess, but at least it's a consistent one :)

And I'm pretty sure UWE is handling the port to xbox in house.. I've seen multiple post from the devs saying as much ( if I remember right ) and now that I think of it they where also looking for programmers or testers at the very least for the xbox version..

I would've supported a PS4 release, but the game isn't what it was when I started playing six months ago.

It used to be an exploration game. Now it's all about Micromanaging different system, power management, inventory management, farming resources. It used to be a fun little game were you could bop around in your submarine and find cool stuff to build. Now it's a grind just to breath and eat. It was a game but now it's work, work that I'm not being paid for.

I have a full time job. I play games to take a break from work, not to look for more work.

Then don't play a survival game.

Funny, it doesn't say Stranded Deep on the main menu when I boot the game up.

Silly me, thought I purchased an exploration/crafting/survival game. I had no idea they were going to strip out all the exploration and the crafting so we could spend our time micromanaging our power supply.

Didn't I tell you this before? Are you so thick that you still don't understand what the difference is between a survival game and an exploration game?

They didn't. All 3 of those things work in tandem. I know the difference between a survival game and an exploration game. You don't know the difference between a game that falls into one of those genres and a game that falls into both. The survival aspects force you to explore to gather resources in order to craft materials to improve your survival. You absolutely bought an exploration/crafting/survival game. The question is why, since you seem to dislike some of the major aspects of the game. It's not meant to be a walk in the park where you bumble around and go "ooh look at all the pretty fish". You're trapped on an alien world. You're going to get hungry. You're going to get thirsty. That's how a survival game works. As a side note, quit trying to make all the threads you post in about your dislike of a survival game because survival game mechanics. Trying to bring everything off on a tangent just because you're unhappy is not the way to go. If you care this much, make a dedicated thread about it instead of posting about it in a mostly unrelated thread.

But you need to explore to build the rocket and beat the game?
It's still exploration, it's just that that aspect hasn't been fully fleshed out yet, even though you can still do it, there's nothing preventing you from doing that.

stupid consoles, ruining all the fun. We could have kept terraforming, and the devs effort could have been put towards the more intelligent pc copy, but console had to ruin the fun. Just switch to pc (although, a console release is earning more money thus a bigger budget, so i guess its not all bad.)

That's nonsense. There are two reasons to remove terraforming, one being the bloated save files (which affect everyone, just console users more heavily) and the other being that it breaks the game's gating system which has become more important as the story has developed. The terraformer likely would've been removed even if SN would not have gone console.

Don't necro threads; they're working on PS4 but XB1 isn't even out of Game Preview / Early Access yet, so hold on to your horses!
