I thought \n is the same newline for both windows and linux?

Yes, it represents a new line on both systems, but win needs an extra \r for carriage return. Nix systems only need \n for carriage return & line feed :]

    EDIT:
    foo\nbar
would look like this on win:
    foo
    ___bar

@Loki man I thought you were kidding when you said you'd make that plant purple! This is awesome :D

I'm also excited for Hive 2. Can't wait for that.

Also, this update is so much more live on steam than all the others. So much more, in fact, that it required caps :P

It's not a Loki map if it doesn't have a tree in it

Fair enuf and I love Loki for continuing the shizzle. But Summit is love, Summit is life, Summit is the holy grail. One does not simply green it up man, but heck I cna accept trees up in that atrium... Just curious how they got it up there though

We are back to marine stomps now.
Just check the win/loss ratio the next days.
The speed buff sound good on paper but didnt help much in pub play.

    @dePARA rly?
I played 3 rounds today and all of them were alien wins... though 2 of them were baserushes and one of them was actually quite stressful to achieve...

Increased sneaking speed has been a long time coming. Thanks for implementing it. With the comparative speed of sprint and skulk speed, there's way too small window for getting the drop on someone without them getting too far ahead of you (such that you have to make noise to catch up). This will help somewhat.

I've always been in favour of making non-sequential/non-chained wall-to-wall jumping silent (or much less noisy). Last time I put forth that idea I (unsurprisingly) got about 10 disagrees though

With this new increased sneaking speed, it makes something like that much more unnecessary and probably even OP. Would be an interesting sneaking mechanic though. I expect nothing less than another 10 disagrees though, as I'm fairly sure I'm the only person who would like something like that.

The changes seem like a good step in the right direction. I like that UWE also focused on the wall jumping aspect and the sound feedback. Good thoughts went into the skulk changes. Hopefully it works balance wise.

Eclipse doesn't need love. Eclipse needs a chainsaw and some robocop treatment.

Let's sum it up. You increase every weapon accuracy and to compensate it, you increase skulk speed only. I don't think this will work.

Problem of NS2 is that good marines (with good acc.) can easily lock down aliens. Range vs melee weapon problem. With recent changes it's easier to get better accuracy and we see more this kind of frustrating games. Aliens sneak skill won't work when marine is watching long hallway and just waits for you.

Would like to see how high skill games win/lose ratio looks now.
