Well... you know that lagoon in the middle of the Floating Island? I... um... decided to park the OzoneOcean there. I hope the Submarine License and Registration Authority doesn't revoke my license or penalize me for this... Oh... and found out the hard way that trying to stand on your sub while it's like this will kill you...

Discovered that you are able to evade Reaper Leviathans in your Seamoth by going towards them at full speed.

They cant aggro and turn around fast enough to chase you down.

Just don't go right into their jaws mind you.

Do they always attack the player ? Then I must have been very lucky, was half asleep and suddenly found myself with 3 around me.... just kept going and nothing happened.

I think the steps for a reaper attack are
1. The reaper has to first see you
2. then it has to orient its head towards your location
3. then it has to charge you (possibly straightening out its body)

In my experience if you just scoot past in the Seamoth there is virtually no way a reaper can react fast enough to attack you.

That's what I'd like to know. I know while attempting to walk on top that I was clipping through it, then I died.

It might be that the game thinks the Cyclops is still moving/falling and as such, it causes collision damage/rams you?

Craziest thing I have done is Subnautica is go out with my Cyclops to the Dunes. I then spotted a Reaper and proceeded to jump into my Seamoth and chase it down. I jumped out when it was headed towards me, hit it with the stasis rifle, and scanned it.

I could've sworn that when I was leaving there was a little bit of poop left in the water where the Reaper was still glaring at me angrily from his stasis bubble.

Just learned you can spawn the the biggies in some tiny places like inside of the submerged islands caves. The large submerged island with the smoker on it is hollow and mine is full of reapers

Everyone's done that. Have you beached it IN the island though. I did. And it sucked because I lost my Cyclops. It didn't get destroyed, it's just stuck inside the geometry and the hatch is behind 30 feet of rock.

I dug a vertical mineshaft (without the terraformer) to a depth of 722 meters...so far.

Did you use the super-terraformer? (Multipurpose Room Mineshaft)

I've used the vertical connection tubes for that purpose - much less resource intensive. And when you're done, you can put a ladder in it and instantly cover 1000m of depth.

I recycle the MP room as I dig so not a lot of resource use (except for way stations every so often). I wanted a shaft to fill with fish and plants, so it needed to be fairly large.

Lonnehart...that pic reminds me of a visit to New York city, standing by the USS Growler (submarine now a museum). NYC police boat pulls up next to the sub, I turn to the tour guide and say

"They're serious about parking violations around here..."

I built a mini base on top of the Aurora since 1. to see if I can see it not to far away 2. I could (Note: I couldn't build a real base due to height limits)
PS: It's apparently super freezing on top of a exploded ship.
