Seaglide VS Improved Flippers

Just wanted to hear other opinions on using the Seaglide VS Improved Flippers.

As far as I can tell, they are both similar in speed, or are they?

Seaglide uses batteries pretty quickly and takes up ALOT of space in inventory. I don't consider the 3d map to be helpful and it blocks part of what I want to see. It's also annoying that when you enter a base, you are still holding the Seaglide out in front of you and you have to deselect it every time. Other than that, it is kind of fun to use for some reason...

For these reasons, I have switched to ditching the Seaglide in favor of using just upgraded fins and a flashlight.
I guess the main question is, is my thinking on this correct and are upgraded fins and the Seaglide comparable in speed?
Thoughts?

Yeah, the Seaglide is more of a thing to use earlier in the game, once you can have the faster fins the Seaglide is basically useless and inconvenient

If you are using the Seaglide, then it is better to use the Swim Charge Fins. The top speed for the Ultra Glide Fins is 7.6 m/s while it is 9.5 m/s for the Seaglide. For the Seaglide with Swim Charge Fins, the battery lasts longer, but I have no idea how fast its average speed is when it continuously switches between 0% and 1%.

The Powerglide is supposed to eventually come out instead of only being available through console commands and has a top speed of 23.1 m/s using Turbo mode, but its efficiency drops from 3800 meters per charge to 3500 meters per charge when Turbo is used.

Used the sea glide in between the h20 update, and the farming update. Imho the best utility for it is getting from one place to another quickly. At least until one gets a modification station. Then faster fins. It is an inventory hog which is not unreasonable, but I prefer to have that space free. Not to mention a battery hog. Again the power consumption is not unreasonable, but until we have a dedicated recharger for batteries/power cells then for it's limited usage I will stick to fins.

Powerglide was fun until it got broken...

The idea about using the charge fins is great, but I agree on inventory space. Powerglide makes it relevant again.

The seaglide is still useful when exploring wrecks. There is a drag that occurs when you're in, or around, wrecks that the seaglide can move through but when just swimming slows ou down considerably.

I still prefer the Seaglide with charge fins. Using the fins to charge every equip of mine. And since the O2 tanks fell out you still have more space using the Seaglide than having several tanks carrying.
