  Just put one of them in your hand (PDA inventory) and you'll notice a kind of "beacon" message appearing somewhere around you (just like the base or subs beacon).
  This will give you the location of a point of interest into several biomes ...

  it's not working for my i has them in my PDA and there are no extra beacons should i make a new save

  There are two slots on the side of the helmet slot , put signals and other utility (like compass and thermometer) there.

  As Stakhanov stated it, this is precisely where you have to put the signals you found (an image to help you, if needed)
