I know that the devs say we shouldn't pay much attention to release dates for patches, (according to the H2.0 poster on Trello it had a due date of 12th October), but I noticed on Trello now it appears to have a date of 19th October. That's tomorrow! I can hardly wait to see if it will be released or not.

Thank you for the update
It's okay, we know that you guys work vary hard in bringing us this game with all it's awesome updates. We are patient.
Last week we said this week, so for now we're going with 'October'. Sorry we can't be more accurate
But we would rather they take their time and give us an update that works, rather than one that is broken.
P.S. For those of you that don't know, Oct 31 has a cherished (and possibly hated) place in the heart of every UWE employee (and fan).
I suppose you can take it as a compliment that people are getting impatient.
No choice but to waiting abit longer.. and hope the new stuff was worth the wait
I am canceling my subscription!!
.....
oh wait......
On a serious note: It's still October until the end of this week... so.. it might be here coming Tueday/Wednesday!
*keeping fingers crossed*
yes its still october till the end of the week, but if they come out whit the update this late what will happen next month??? snowball and no update next month ...
actually ther is a lot of game who is never finished and stay on alpha.......
If you were keeping up with the Trello board, then you would have seen that they have been working on the story for a long time and is close to completion (Its the implementation that will take a while). Also, this isn't really going to be a type of story that has character development.
I have been keeping up with Trello, and read that they had hired a writer some time back, but that is still going to require some kind of content lock to fully implement.
dont know if sarcastic, anyhow almost 2 months without an update, i feel like the progress of this game is going really slow and that it eventualy will die out and stay like this for ever
If you follow trello you can see that dev work really hard. I know they take ther week end and sleep time to time which is unacceptable (may be if we whip them...? ) Keep in mind that the game become more and more complex. Complexity add difficulty. So guy's, like Khaglun say: Keep up the great work.
Hi @mariotusek - I can understand your thoughts on this, but we really are working hard on the game. Just because we do not update the main branch, does not mean we're not all working very hard. Sometimes, features we really want to get done take longer than normal.
The reason we've not updated is we've been working on new water effects for Subnautica. They are very complicated and require our Level Design team to re-light the entire world. That's the whole world, horizontal and vertical. That's several cubic kilometers in real-world terms. That's a huge amount of work, which is why it's taking a long time.
We update the 'experimental steam beta' version of Subnautica several times a day. Hopefully, by looking at the following you can see
Hopefully you can see that we're not giving up working on Subnautica at all. If anything, we're working harder than anything before. We recently hired a new programmer specifically on Subnautica, we wouldn't do that if we were going to give up on it
Just now got an update Thanks to devs!
Well I think you are right. The updates we get bring new awesome stuff each time. We gotten accustomed to them being released quite soonish, and now the craving starts kicking in after it taking longer than expected.
It's good of them to come here and keep us updated though.
Thanks Obraxis for coming here and informing us.
Keep up the good work! You're making a jewel of a game.
I think crane has given a brilliant answer here. I'd rather wait two or three months for a decent update, than for the devs to rush one through that doesn't work. Patience is a virtue. We can see how hard the devs work, and I certainly appreciate all their hard work.
